Great video and thought process 👍🏻 1-you could probably get a breathable tank plug 👍🏻 2- Did you think of adapting your 10/12v side to take a car battery? Input?

Thanks for this, I've been wonderring how easy these are to mod. Think I'm going to use the CXT battery circuit to run 12v into from the van, didn't know how "!mod-able" they are though.

Thank you ozzy your a good egg I think if I did that makitas lawyers would be on me like a ton of bricks!!, anyway I dont think it would be a good business model since it took forever to do!! Stiiiill it was a great challenge and great fun to do it and I do use my modified coffee machine everyday at work and it performs perfectly, check out my other ryobi/makita hybrids on my channel if you can spare the time, many thanks for watching and commenting dude, 🤘🤘

Great mods! Makita needs to watch this and improve thier gimmick of a maker as it is really only good for one or two brews stock, like you said.

loved the video, tech question first out out of the way, what would happen if you forgot to loosen the water tank cap during boiling? (I would for sure forget that bit!) the bit at the end was ace as well!!
@UKTOOLTALK
3 жыл бұрын
Thank you sir for the question, the perculating system seems to work when the water is pulled out of the tank by some scientific magic! Buuut this can only work I guess if the said tank isnt a sealed item which would cause a vacuum hence not allowing the water to be sucked through the heating element, soooo if you leave the cap on tight all that happens is the water boils in the heating element and then turns off because there is no water flow through the element bit, hope this explains a bit I don't really know what I'm doing, I just bumble along 🤘🤘

Just a thought, can't we adapt it to accept a kettle lead, no pun intendid 😂 and replace the 12v with another 18v input possibly? Spot on ideo might attempt these mods myself haha
@UKTOOLTALK
3 жыл бұрын
Hi friend thanks for the comment, mmmm you've got me thinking!! Good man!!!, possible to convert the 12v input to 18v, my next mod has been suggested by another viewer, it's to covert the 12v input to a cigarette lighter adhaptor cable so I can plug it in the van!! Watch this space!!, thanks for watching 🤘🤘
