I like these joseki lectures. My joseki books are pretty old, and the updated patterns (with AI) are interesting and useful.

Thank you! Wonderful explanation as always and this really came at a perfect time as I was just wondering about this a few days ago ^^. Recently I played against three opponents who all played this keima and I was unsure how to answer. Checking with AI seemed to suggest tenuki but I was worried about the pincer. This cleared everything up!

Ahh I was hoping you would go over why white doesn't just attach at the 3-3 anymore. Used to be the most common response with the 2 space jump considered soft.
