You know the internet is full of people videoing their woodworking skills (or lack of), and building all kind of things...like workbenches. Most of them couldn't organise a trip to the toilet without wetting their pants. And if I'm completely honest with you that's what I was thinking when I first started watching your video "JP Workbench Part 1". I was just about to look at something else when I thought, "no, I might just watch this backyard cowboy a bit longer". And the more I watched the more I wanted to watch. I couldn't believe what I was seeing!! With no table saw, bandsaw, jointer or fancy cuts of wood you built something that you should be very proud of. Simple, functional and extremely good at what it was designed to do. WOW! I will most definitely be building one! Keep up the great work Mr.Free and I look forward to your next project. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome bench, you could hit that thing with a truck and it wouldn't break. Thanks for making the video, i would definitely want to make the fold down additions that were in the original video as well!

Very nice video and very helpful. I did managed to build the workbench by viewing your other 3 videos. It turned out very good especially for a novice like me thanx to you!.. I was wondering if you can make a video showing us how to build the secondary side benches the ones that hold the miter saw, the router and the table saw. Your craftsmanship and the sharing of your knowledge is always appreciated,

I have not been one to glue a project like this but it seems like I will from now on. On your first it looked like you used sheet rock screws(my favorite screws) but earlier it looked like you deck screws. I have gotten away from using Phillips screws as the screws and bits strip too easy. They make a square bit and screws that woke better for me. My local lumber yard has a big jar of these bits at the order- pay counter which makes the driver bits easy to pick up. I had thought about putting a hole in each bottom storage lid but then rethought that idea as a hole for saw dust to fall into. I wonder about using MDF for the top of the bench...The cut ends might be too much work to protect the MDF. I did figure out how to post this in my pintrest pages so you should be getting more hits for this great project. Their is a lot of room for people who would want to customize your bench...... GREAT JOB on both benches.

Nice videos. A true diehard woodworker would probably cring or laugh at you work bench. I would not. You have built a very sturdy piece of equipment that will serve your purpose. I am sure that you will make enhanced alterations to your new work bench. Looks like you purchased a lot of straight 2X4's. I wonder if you checked how wet your lumber was before construction or how long you let it settle before you began. Anyway, nice videos.

Me gusto tu proyecto, como vas a usar las gavetas de abajo. Te recomiendo que hagas unas gavetas de halar en la parte de abajo en lugar de poner la pieza completa.Roberto.

+Daniel Moriarty I don't have blue print, but the video should help you to do the bench. If you have any problem, just post it and I will clear for you. Thanks.

I was very un-impressed with your videos (3). The only measuring I saw you do was to hold one board up against another and make a line. I honestly don't see how you finished the bench. It was not visible on the video.
