I hope you find a good outlet for your knowledge that you share. 889 views is an insult to a craftsman like you. But I for one am very much appreciative of your sharing. You have given me a real new way to handle my extremely heavy 1950's table saw. Thanks again, Dave G.

Great series folks. You must watch all three parts, in my opinion.

I like the fact this is so simple, made out of 2x4's and plywood. I wouldn't build mine quite like this or even use these dimensions, but then mine would be built for me. But I like the ideas here. I for sure will someday use some of these ideas for my purpose. I think if I built one similar, I'd think about putting the storage compartment (I like the two part bin idea) under the top of the bench instead of under the bottom, with hinges on the top...I know this would not be as strong or as stout, but it'd give easier access to the everyday tools I use all the time...And if you glued the bottom of the storage compartment underneath, wouldn't it be just as strong? The top wouldn't be fixed to the frame but only hinged. By the way you pound on things with your fist, that tight secure fit of the bench top might be important; but the storage would be way handier Keep in mind, I am not you...you know how you use your tools. I like the ideas...Very Nice!!! Right now my Sears Folding Table Saw take up too much room...but I have Craftsman Tool Boxes underneath my similar workbench s for my mechanics tools that I have on Casters to roll out when I want to work on my cars....I'm more of a mechanic than a carpenter...my bench stays in place but my toolboxes come out to roll around. But I like these ideas...Very Nice!!!

Very well done! I find if I start screwing the tops one corner, then opposite corner, it won't shift...or much less likely anyway.:) Easier to keep it square. Thanks for the wheels tip. but again, go to opposite corner to screw it down. It will sit better while working on it..etc.But hey, I could be wrong!:) Princess Auto also carries locking casters. Goood to know I am not the only one who will use a 2x4 as a hammer!LOL LOVE it!:)

I think I would turn my wheel mounts 90 degrees to where you mounted yours... I would split the board with the screw or hit between the boards and screw into nothing...Just one thing I will change on mine... You are doing a great job... I need to figure out how to pintrest this build.. A lot of people will like it...

Richard Grune Yes, I was having the same dilemma with mine during installation.

I love those wheels and brakes, but haven't been able to find anything that looks similar. Are they 8" rubber - where did you get them? Are you happy with them rather than pneumatic tires - how often do you go over gravel/grass with your workbench?

Kelly Haun The wheel are from Harborfreigh."8 in. Rubber Heavy Duty Cushion Tire Swivel Caster" The pneumatic tires always goes flat when you more need it the most. My garage floor is not flat and small wheel are not good. Last year I was working in a window and thanks to the big wheel I was able to move the workbench under the window to use as platform and also to cut wood.
