Sad that it has taken years for people to appreciate Tim's voice and work with Priest

He did and owned it. Nothing lasts forever though. It did propel Ripper's career. Glad Rob's been back since 2004.

Love the Ripper and def has had a bad shake with some Priest fans but he really sang his balls off and while not as legendary as Halford (who the fuck could be?!) he gives it his all here but this is one of the songs extremely hard to pull off not just the notes Rob hit but the heart & feeling he put into the vocals

Great singer but he's not as flexible as Halford. Tim seems to excell at the straight hard rock/heavy metal/power metal stuff and where growls and screams or snarls work but he's not quite right on ballads. His emotion just isn't there for me. But I'm sure he'd admit himself to Halford being superior since he's a fan. He can hit the notes great - but it's not just the notes, it's emotion and charisma and that special - something magic - that makes a singer stand out. Technically there's nothing to criticise in his singing here - but... I don't know, still it's kind of flat emotionally and charismatically. Even the band to be fair sounds not at top tier to be fair though - it's just by the numbers. Hitting them fine, but without that magic that reels you in; that stops you in awe. It's hard to explain. It's either there or it's not.
