Spitting is disgusting. 25 to life seems excessive even as a habitual. Unless there is more to the story. Especially when child abusers get probation or 5 years very often (should be much higher). Last week a jury in Judge Boyd court sentenced a defendant to probation who walked up to new boyfriend of ex…somehow missed at such close range.

I’m glad this judge actually cares what these disgusting people do to law enforcement!! Both my sons are law enforcement and I was doing a ride along with my oldest. It was a runaway that’s stepdad was tricking her thinking he was taking her money at our McDonald’s. I could see my son in the window and all the sudden he was gone for a couple minutes. When he brought this 15 year old out to the car he’d had to pepper spray her after she spit in his face! It’s the most disgusting thing to do to anyone! Not to mention the disease they might have!! It’s been 18 years and they both have been spit on among all the other abuses they will do!

He also gets super pissed when battery on a LEO is dropping or dismissed! These people will never learn if there aren't any consequences for their behavior!

Both defendants are beyond disgusting. The first one has thrown his life away with his behavior. He's better off behind bars - _society_ is better off with him behind bars. His partner in crime isn't much better, either. She looked like she thought it was a big joke, with that stupid, empty-headed grin on her face. 10 years probation is not something to laugh at, or not take seriously.

Although it was clear attorney Adams saw what was coming and tried to stop it, the aftermath seemed to indicate that the defendant was not informed of the ramifications of "freeing his soul" while taking the plea under oath.

Thank God for a judge that actually defends and backs up police officer that put their lives on the line everyday for us. People like Judge Stevens is what we need all over this nation today. Consequences is the only thing that seems to change many peoples behavior. 10 years probation is simply another jail term for this woman. She'll never make the ten years, but I hope she does and gets to be a decent human being and credit to her and her family.

I think that the defendants are so used to seeing weak courts and judges giving slaps on the wrists for crimes, that when they face a judge they are expecting the same. And are shocked when they actually receive a punishment for their criminal behavior

Who would want to be a defence attorney for this type of client. I can just imagine him telling the guy that he could get 25 to life but he has negotiated a plea deal for 5. All he has to do is plead guilty, admit to the crime, and if asked apologise and blame alcohol.
