Julie does Judy. You'll only see that on "The Julie Andrews Hour." This series needs to be out on DVD.

Это песня Джуди из "Встречай меня в Сент-Луисе"(1944). Но Джулия все-таки это другой голос,но звёзды они обе. Здоровья мадам Эндрюс на долгие годы.

Wig, of course. As in Darling Lili - though the scene (the second "three guesses" one, when she's being jealous) is still a knockout!

part of the problem was they could not decide what direction they wanted to go in. Firstly, it was interesting to see Julie sing a Judy song, and how little of the fabulous Andrews sound was retained while singing. Julie's sound on this number had a more Broadway belt trying to remain true to what Judy had done but appears to struggle vocally (it was hard to detect at first but it is faintly noticeable), the second problem was the choreographer wanted to stage a more spoof style version with ridiculous movements. All and all the end result was a very mediocre version of a phenomenal song done by a performer who is generally speaking pretty amazing herself, but the vision and rendition of this song seemed very lacking.

I agree with you. That silly head rolling the chorus had to do.

It is one thing to sing the song, it's another to act out the scene ... the Trolley Song scene in Meet Me in St. Louis is an iconic number by Judy Garland and any recreation of it looks ridiculous in my opinion ... including Judy Davis' version in Me and My Shadows, the movie based on Lorna Luft's book by the same title.

This is atrocious ... Judy Garland classic moments simply should not be tried by others ... even the very talented Julie Andrews. It would be like someone else doing one of her classic numbers from The Sound of Music or Mary Poppins.

mkrobinson95 You must be a diehard fan of Judy Garland.. If you know anything about vocals and vocal range you would know than Julie Andrews can out sing Judy Garland ANYDAY.. Judy was ONLY known for that very unique melancholy tone that we hear in “ Have yourself a Merry little Christmas” and “ Somewhere over the Rainbow”. Everything else is forgettable.. Record sales alone will tell you that. Look up Album sales ranking in TSOM and MP and compare it to Meet me in St. Louis or anything Judy Garland has ever done., although she made her mark.

@@tyronrampersad5628 I like both...but yeah Julie Andrews could outsing Judy Garland any day of the week. She is one of the best (and paradoxically underestimated) broadway performer of the 20th century by far. Based on what I have seen of Andrews she could outsing most singers...past or present. PS : People already made a lot of covers from the Sound of Music classics. So...

@@MotherfuckerMr agreed 100%. Just the name My Fair Lady is enough....with all the vocalizations involved and doing 8 shows a week for almost 3 and 1/2 years is no mean feat....no wonder almost everyone was outraged when she wasn't cast in the movie...and it is our loss that we could not see her iconic performance which is remembered to his day...and even after achieving so much in varied fields she is as humble as ever...

@@tyronrampersad5628 Judy Garland's singing had a lot more going for it than a "melancholy tone." Check out her non Over the Rainbow-singing in "Wizard of Oz" and...oh...a little thing called "The Trolley Song" in "Meet Me in St. Louis." The studio album of which became a best seller when it was issued in 1944.
