Lets now get inside the cashewnut factory wherein we can gain a lot of information about cashew nuts and learn about every small detail of it.
Friends, here we are at the cashew nut Factory !
This is the first and foremost step that you need to understand in order to understand other things better.
This is our raw cashew and is usually imported from one of Africa’s cities, which is Benin.
The importing is done in the month of June. Once the cashews are here from Africa, they are stocked in a godown and then used for the rest of the year.
The cashewnut is separated batchwise. The raw cashew nut has a very hard shell so it can not be broken with bare hands.
This cashewnut is further used in the process of obtaining the actual cashew nut we eat.
For the cashew nut to be in the form that we can consume, it has to undergo a seven step procedure.
Let's now understand the entire procedure of how a raw cashew nut turns into an edible cashew nut fit for our consumption.
Mr. Mehul I will be explaining to you and your audience about how we begin the procedure by using the machinery behind.
So friends, the raw cashew nuts enter the machine through this place and once it goes inside the machine, with the help of an elevator, the cashew nut falls here. Here what happens is there is a compartment filled with water which is used to separate the stones and pebbles from the cashew nuts. Here because of the properties of cashews, it floats in the water unlike stones that drown and settle at the bottom og=f the surface making it easy for us to separate the cashews.
Once the cashews are separated from stones and pebbles, the same cashew again goes up into the black cooker shown behind where our material is stored. Further from here another procedure comes into picture about which I’ll be explaining to you all.
Mr. Mehul, after cleaning the cashews and separating them from the stones, we now reach towards the next step of getting edible cashews.
The cooker is filled with cashews with the help of the machine itself. In the cooker the cashews are steamed for a certain amount of time. Once steamed, they are taken further from the next procedure. This entire process is happening via the machinery behind. Also the steam that we are providing, is provided through boiler using RO water so as to not tamper with the quality of the cashews.
Once the cashews are out of the steam machinery, we get them dried. Once the cashew is dry, we grade it into 5 different categories known as RC and grading .
The categories are made so that while they are in the cutter machine, they do not get damaged while cutting. There are 5 gradings namely A, B, C, D, E. The machinery behind helps us segregate the cashews into different grades and then accordingly are sent to different cutter machines.
This is the procedure after the Boiler procedure. Lets now study the further procedure in the cutter machine.
SO Mr. Mehul until now we have graded the raw cashews into different categories and the grading is done on the basis of their size so that while they are in the cutting machine, the cashews do not get damaged with any blade cutting the cashew at the incorrect place preventing the oil entering the cashew.
Which is why there are three machines. One where Type A is processed. B and C on another machine. D and E in another machine. Here all the cashews undergo a cutting procedure according to their grades.
After the Rc and Grading with the help of the elevator teh cashews are inserted into this machine and once they come out after cutting, we need to manually check if the cashew coming out is coming out in a intact piece or is it being broken down into two pieces? is the blade cutting happening correctly? Is the oil entering the cashews? Etc
Mr. Mehul until now we saw the procedure upto the cutting procedure. Once done with the cutting procedure, the cashews are kept on this table and all these people carry the scooping process on it.
Sometimes it so happens that the entire cashew doesn't come out or sometimes the cashew is till stuck into ints cover, in such cases these people do it manually.
Usually in the market, there are automation machines that do this job
