Kachess Beacon is an old aircraft navigation beacon site that offers good views at the top of Lake Easton, Kachess Lake, the surrounding mountains and valley of Easton and Mt. Rainier.
This is a steep but short out and back or loop hike with an elevation gain of 2,309 feet in 3 miles one way, totaling 6 miles round trip. Most of the way is shaded by trees which offers a cool hike in the summer time. You are also accompanied by the Silver Creek for the most part with surprise waterfall drops along the way that you can go down and view as well.
No parking pass is needed to park at this trail head.
