The best experience we have had with prado suspension is TJM XGS GOLD and Dobinsons . Generally all the CV , bushes and drive shaft issues arise due to the tire size people run on the Prado and over going over 2 inch lifts .The cars and their components are engineered to run the size they come out with or at maximum slightly over . Keep your sizes as close to factory as possible and your parts should last ages. Still the best touring vehicle IMO👍🏻

Hey man, like all the vids and adventures (especially the hack of the prado traction control) . By way of some feedback though, i will say this build series is feeling a bit like an infomercial for tjm at the moment. Personal opinion. Still keen as to see what you do with it and how it all turns out though, particularly for ideas on my own prado. Cheers man 👌

Paul Davies Thanks Paul! Like anyone I like to show the gear i truely support! I dont show much of the gear i dont rate because speaking the truth about bad products will get me in trouble in the industry (has before). So its just easier to talk about the positives. TJM Huntervalley done me a great favour by slotting me in and getting me setup for my Tasmania trip which i leave in 2 days. So its the least i can do really. I hope you understand :) So the next episodes are more Backyard jobs so let me know what you think of those ones. Appreciate the support either way 😁 Have a good one.

@AaronOffroader
4 жыл бұрын
I never measured the open length of my previous but a failed steering rack at 8000kms and 10CVs in 25000km told me it was too much. Not worth really chasing IFS front end travel in my experience. Ild rather run a shock with a conservative length, no diff drop, un interupted bashplates and have a stronger, front end. Besides its getting a front locker later this year too. 😁

Just a shame my poxy TJM dealer can’t Pre assemble mine because they don’t know which way the strut Top sits. Piss poor effort from tjm karatha. Probably won’t be able to tell me what amount of spacers to run on the front either. I feel they won’t assemble them because I live in another town and won’t let them charge me $787.00 to fit it. No diff drop here. You cant purchace a proper diffdrop for the prado. The spacer kits are just dodgy and untidy. Bashplates never fit any good spaced down. They loose all their strength too.
