My interpretation of the text messages between Karen and John was... This was not a red flag. It was the beginning of a break-up. We've all gone through a break-up like this, and often worse. It wasn't even a fight. No dirty punches. No bad words. No digs, or knife twists. No threats. Just, signals of where im going to be, or bread crums hoping for resolution or conclusion. No red flags. They went in the favor of Karen (as the trial goes). But no matter what she said, or done. It was clear, the relationship was quickly ending.

Yeah I usually bristle at the term “mediocre white guy” because I’ve seen it used way too broadly, but oh my god. It describes the entire Canton PD, Massachusetts State Police, the district attorney’s office, and most of their witnesses. And mediocre is being way too generous. Apparently none of those agencies have any standards whatsoever. Thank god for Alan Jackson and David Yannetti. At least we have two.

I might of missed it but, did they ever say how they calculated how far the car moved in reverse? Cars spin when starting off in snow. If they used wheel speed, it doesn't mean the car was moving that same speed.
@gerhardvandenberg7249
3 ай бұрын
@jmw135 I might also have missed that wheelspin was addressed or taken into consideration by the prosecution, defence, investigators or witnesses during the trail. I do however have no clue how the management system determine the speed of the Lexus. It seems the Lexus lx 570 has permanent AWD with torsion limited-slip differential control. Fast acceleration or ice/snow on the road would be required for serious wheelspin to occur.

From my perspective the crux of the prosecution’s case rests on the testimony of three key witnesses: the lead investigator, the accident reconstructionist, and the medical examiner. I think I would have expected to have heard from all three by the second week of trial. It’s pretty clear by now why Lally delayed on calling up both witnesses. Proctor’s testimony was the first critical torpedo to the prosecution’s narrative, theory, and credibility. Trooper Paul’s testimony almost certainly sinks it; more so if AJ’s expert witnesses are allowed to testify before the jury. The only ray of hope for the Commonwealth is with the medical examiner, and even then, I’m not confident in Lally’s ability to make a convincing argument that links John Okeefe’s injuries directly to a motor vehicle collision. At best I’d expect these medical examiners to testify their results are inconclusive. At worst this case highlights the problematic nature common to many law enforcement agencies across the US when it comes to adequately holding themselves and the individuals and/or groups connected or associated with them to account.

This is ridiculous. How did the judge find HIM competent and qualified yet she has doubts about Karen’s ridiculously qualified witnesses? This guy isn’t qualified to tie his own shoes. He was like a junior high school kid called out for not doing his homework. His attitude when he was called out… And WHY is the judge sustaining all of Lallys objections? I would be pissed if I was on that jury…they have a huge responsibility and not allowing some of these things to be heard is total manipulation.
