KC and his band are legends. Saw them open for the b-52s in 2022, and I feel so lucky to have witnessed their magic on stage. Even though I was born in 91, I felt the funk energy from the 70s and disco vibes from the 80s. KC danced the entire time. We were blown away! Good times!!!

This came on the store speakers at Home Depot tonight while I was shopping. I was dead tired, my ass was dragging, but as soon as these vibes hit my ears, I noticed the load on my tired old body began to lift, and pretty soon I was steppin' lively and gettin' down to the beat. Thanks, KC!

I actually met KC. He was best the best friend of of my best friend's mother and her boyfriend. I also attended his birthday party at his house and also hung out at his house with my best friend. It was quite amazing.

How is KC and the Sunshine Band NOT in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? These guys had it going on, man. Positive, happy music, racial harmony, killer grooves and beats and talented AF musicians.

Because KC and the Sunshine Band are Disco/Funk not rock roll: Disco/Funk never became popular enough or reached the same amount of international popularity as rock did for it to have its own Hal log fame. Disco died pretty early, came in 1978 and died 1979.

@Polish Hero Welecki I would say five number one songs, several others in the top 10, and over 100 million albums sold would constitute being pretty darn popular. Disco did not start out in 1978. It was more like 1974. It was not dead by 1979. It lasted a couple more years. John Lennon was a fan.

This is what we used to like in the Seventies! Everyone together and having a good time dancing the night away! No hate, no guns, no stupidity or pain or drive by shootings. It was good times and everyone having good fun! I wish we could get back there! Those were better days!

Yeah, I could, "resurrect" the day again 🕺💃 I guess, was going to nite clubs right up to age 58 (going on 61 now) but there, "came a time" (I thought it was, "comes a time" Neil Young = "no disco 📀 there!") when I had to, "hang up the 👟👟" bummer!! ps: KC and the 🌄 band were always, "right up there!!" The 70's was the greatest decade in human music. If you want to argue you can talk to Marley, Bowie, Wonder, Reed, Waits, Cliff, DEVO, Talking Heads, CURTIS, Marvin Gaye, Zeppelin, Sabbath and the the b-52's. Forgot Kraftwerk and Can.

I am 56 years old and immediately fell in love with Disco when it first came out in 1972. Today's music sounds outdated compared with that time period and it supposed to be the other way around.

I'm 58 years old and anyone in my generation got to listen to kickass cool music like this. This song got started, I started tapping my foot and singing along with KC. I miss this, ABBA, all the other rock bands from the Seventies and my nineteen year old son likes music from the 1960s through 1990s.

There are some people out there who think of disco as a joke. It is AMERICAN music which went worldwide, and KC and the Sunshine Band was on top of this genre!
