Hi Kelly, I knew you when you were a little boy living in cocoa Beach you and your brother would go down surfing I was friends with your father Steve and he and I and Frank Sanderson all hung together and worked at the Vanguard lounge from time to time and hung out on the beach. I also knew your mother and she was a wonderful woman, it was a different time and I think we were all a little crazy on Coco Beach there was a lot going on back then an awful lot of partying and craziness but I still look back on all of that time with fond memories of life on the beach your father and all the rest of us that hung out together Frank Charlie there was a bunch of us I still think of your father from time to time some of the crazy stuff we used to do i’m sorry he’s not here to see what a fine young man you’ve become I’m sure he’s in a better place and the surf is up.

My dad’s drink was mostly wine ... Kelly’s childhood sounds like my childhood ... my dad died at 51, I was 22. I went through some anger ... then pity ... then love and forgiveness. My dad told me he loved me and apologized for being a lousy dad about a week before his unexpected death. I’m now losing my mom to dementia. We often have to find our own answers to life. Kelly is real and grounded. Thanks for this interview.🙏🏻

that's just Graham Bensinger. He is very direct. I am pretty sure they discuss the questions before and if in this case Kelly is not comfortable he can cut at any time. I really prefer this type of interview, keeps it very short but informative. And since the guest is prepared for the questions it won't be a big problem for him.

Always Those unfortunate questions from those new age presenters, always those questions to make the father’s image so dark and so nasty, in order to serve an insane ideology! « How do you think his drinking impacted you?... » bla bla bla 🤮🤮🤮 Thanks to God, we muslims do no judge our parents and we must not tell bad things about them, because they are the ones who took care about us when we were babies, they handled us with big care when we were a small piece of fragile flesh, they spent long times awake in the night when we did not want to sleep, they took us the doctor when we were sick, when we need something and they did not have the money to, they borrowed that money... I can spend long time reminding their well-doing to us. And that Kelly Slater would not be shocked and sad when his father passed away, if his father was no a great man... So please stop judging your parents and fathers in particular, and stop make them suffer your trial like you are the parents and them the children, because this is just the reversal of the order... and this graham should be ashamed after asking those perverted questions about parents
