Dude, you have convinced me. I’ve just purchased the powered rack with the stomp box. It just makes sense instead of having multiple amps kicking around! I can’t wait to dive into the world of Kemper!

It wasn’t my intention to sell you anything 😂 but glad the video helped. Welcome to the Kemper club. There is a little bit of a learning curve getting it set up and dialled in. Stick with it, there’s a lot of great tones in there. Check out my other videos for more tutorial type stuff.

@@DanLeggatt well I’ve had my Kemper for a few days now and man… i’m loving it. I agree there’s a bit of a learning curve. But to be honest, adding tones, playing around with effects/tones and assigning profiles to the remote has been really simple. The tones out of this thing is incredible. Keep up the good work!

Awesome work Dan. Do know of there is any was toll „unlock“ the output routing options for Main, Monitor and Direct out? As far as I can see they are all globally locked. Since I want to play electric and acoustic in stereo through my Kemper I would need to save the routing options in the rig settings. The only hack i know is using the panorama parameter - for example electric rigs left and acoustic rigs right and then send the electric via main out left and the acoustic via direct out right but it that’s really just a hack and obviously mono, while lots of delay effects are all stereo🙈

Excellent, thanks ! I didn't know you could assign infinity or freeze to a remote switch, that's awesome, thanks for the tip ! And as I don't use the looper, I'm gonna have one extra switch, great !

Hi Dan, Your videos have been a tremendous help to me with features, morphing and otherwise. I actually did discover that while most all parameters on effects and amps can be morphed by toggling the 1-5 switches between A and B settings, the one thing that I have found that is irritating that cant be morphed is the amp volume in the amp section. For instance, on button 1 I like to set my clean with a morph to a breakup on the gain, but generally the clean is more louder so I want to bring the volume back just a hair. In the amp section you can morph the gain up or down, but the volume is a no go. I was wondering if maybe you had advice or a work around? Thanks so much for your content and videos, I am an avid fan and subscriber!
@DanLeggatt
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! Glad the content has been helpful! With the morphing problem, have you thought about adding a booster or EQ block after the amp block that morphs to compensate for volume? The only down side is that it uses up a block. I’m unsure if it’s possible as I’m not in front of my Kemper but can you morph the ‘Rig volume’ parameter?

Hi Dan, great video ! I've got a (probably stupid) question coming from a pure Kemper beginner : when I plug my Kemper (powerhead, the rack version) into a normal guitar cab (say : mesa boogie 4*12) I wonder what I should do about the "output" section of the Kemper ? I mean : there's no need for cab simulation in the profile when it's used "live" with a guitar cab, I even think that having a Profile with amp simulation integrated through a real cab should sound awkward. What's the best move to optimize the profile's sound in such a situation (as opposed to the home studio use where you do need some kind of cab sim/IR in order to record the profile convincingly) ? I've noticed that the sound probem that might occur when using a real guitar cabinet seems more obvious on high gain profiles (which can be very harsh/aggressive sounding) than on the clean ones. Thanks for your help on the matter 🙂

Nice video. I just subscribed. Really enjoyed this. I chose to subscribe because your putting out a steady pace of videos. Ill try to catch up. Blessings to ya. I didn’t buy remote. I have been thinking about getting it for the pedalboard mentality. I use a compressor and or a Kingtone pedal in front sometimes a univibe. A Dimension in the loop. I would like to investigate performance mode. I’ll need the remote for that. Right.

I'm.running my kemper unpowered, into the effects loop of a 6505+ 112, am am really struggling to get a solid metalcore tone out of it. It's either too fizzy or too flat. Any chance of a video for tips on dialing in a good tone?
@oliverclrrk
4 жыл бұрын
make sure your cab block is disengaged! I would highly recommend selling the 6505+ if you can and get an FRFR monitor. Much better quality there. Or even better (although also more expensive), if you want to play live, get a power amp and a 2x12 cab!
@DanLeggatt
4 жыл бұрын
I agree with Oliver, definitely check the cab is disengaged. Don't overlook the output EQ for the monitor output or even adding a graphic EQ block. Are you struggling getting your tone at home volumes or at louder rehearsal / gig volumes?
