On October 8, 2012 Kenneth Robb sat down at his home in Greeley, Colorado and told of his experiences in both World War II and the Korean War. Ken, born and raised in Greeley, served in the Army. Ken was in the National Guard when WWII broke out. After OCS, he was transferred to the 3rd Infantry Division, where he would become the commander of the anti-tank company of the 30th Infantry Regiment. He would be involved in five amphibious landings as the 3rd started in Africa and ended up in Austria at the war's end. He made the Army his career and served again on the frontlines during the Korean War. He would receive three Purple Hearts and awarded four Bronze Stars among his many medals. He would retire as a Lt. Colonel. After a 23-year military career, he went on to another 25+ year career in the hotel and travel industry. Ken and his lovely wife Gertrude were married for 68 years until her passing.
