Thank you Steve for the review. I'm just listing your preferences here as a quick reference so I don't have to watch it again. But it's well worth it to watch the whole video. I used to buy Primal Kitchen but it was pricey. In Canada, I found French's no sugar ketchup. It's delicious and tasted like the real thing at a much lower price. The ingredients are clean as well (tomato paste, white vinegar, water, salt, Stevia extract, seasoning). The texture is thick as well. I love it.

@@binglamb2176 French's is my favourite, both taste wise and price wise. It's the same price as regular French's, so I can often get it for under $4 on sale, whereas Primal is at least double that. I also find Primal's taste to be... heavy? Almost like pure tomato paste. French's tastes like regular ketchup and the stevia doesn't have an aftertaste.

The closest we have to a local sugar free ketchup is French's. They restarted the Canadian factory after Heinz abruptly shutdown and laid everyone off. I agree with your G. Hughs assessment.

Yes, the French’s is the best. Haven’t tried the Heinz just because why get the one with sucralose when you can get the stevia-sweetened French’s. Also there’s a stevia-sweetened one from President’s Choice’s Blue Menu but there are two versions so make sure you’re getting the right one.

Excellent test. Steve, you have said this many times, you would not show it unless you did not spike your BG, so I trust that. I don't use ketchup often anymore but when I do I have the Heinz. Reason is because every grocery store has that. It is expensive compared to "normal" Ketchup but tastes like normal ketchup. The G-Huges I only buy for the BBQ sauce. I like several flavors and they are also too watery like the ketchup. Primal ketchup is way too expensive. Thank you for the test. I feel good now to continue buying Heinz. I made my own before. Its easy and also great but it does not last that long and I got lazy.

Thanks for the reviews. I ordered the Primal Kitchen ketchup a year or so ago and didn’t really like it, so I went back to Heinz Sugar Free… I hadn’t even noticed that they’d changed from sucralose to stevia, so I had to check the label on my current bottle and wow, stevia. I could swear it was sweetened with sucralose when I first started buying it. I’ve never had a problem using sucralose, but I think stevia is less processed. Great to know! Another bonus with using Heinz is that when they are on sale or have a coupon for Heinz, they include the sugar free as well.

Thanks for your research Steve! Ketchup is something that I always had strong opinions on- the only thing I ever used it for was French fries. After trying a bunch of keto French fry replacement recipes and not finding one that I thought was a valid replacement I just gave up on ketchup since I was not going to ever need it on my keto journey. And then I remembered cocktail sauce for shrimp, which is almost always full of ingredients that have useless carbs in them so I do keep a bottle of the primal kitchen ketchup in my pantry to mix with horseradish when I make shrimp cocktail. Frankly even way before starting keto I never understood why ketchup had any sweetener in it anyway.

We also have several types of Mayonnaise and Miricle Whip. We are fixing to use two different low carb breads to make Croutons and then make Stuffing, so we have Low Carb Stuffing for the Holidays.
