I could imagine a conference room on the 40th floor at BigToyCo with 20 dead serious businessy ppl having a meeting about GooglyWooglies and being convinced it was the next big thing and waiting for accounting to "circle back" to them on the 5p introductory price and the structure of the more advanced pricing tiers. PS, your first merch idea is staring you in the face.

It’s unbelievable how much I relate to this. I’d fully suppressed some of these memories and I’ve lost all the things I made. A major difference is that I took a very odd interest in laminators. So naturally I asked for one for Christmas and proceeded to laminate absolutely everything including a set of trading cards that I produced as a companion to my magazine that I “published” at school 😂 When I was 10 I also designed a whole board game centred around the very niche theme of smuggling goods from France to South-East England in the 17th / 18th centuries. The laminator also came in handy for this one. I was a strange child.

I’ve been told be LSA/TAs to sell some of the dog treats that I made and gave to them. To explain that better, I made some honey and banana dog treats and gave them to some teaching assistants who then told me I should sell them. I’ve really considered it but I doubt my mum would let me sell them, if I get to I may add to this comment to say how it goes.

I used to bag and sell walnuts from our tree and made a little sign but it took nowhere near the effort of your endevours! I also used to "make" plastic or play dough food for people or for my fake zoo made of teddies but I didn't create a menu. I also would draw and write little books and staple them together

I think I first started out trying to make my mom enormously long necklaces, like I thought the more beads, the more she would like them. Then I tried doing the classic lemonade/hot dog stand, told the idea to two friends of mine, they did it while I was gone one day without me. Was really upset about that. I painted rocks and tried to sell those. I made little friendship bracelets. I had a leather stamping kit that made really cool cuffs and keychain things, I made gifts of those for about a year. I did origami for awhile...and had a try at the oven baked beads... I was always on the lookout as a kid for a way to make people buy my ideas or my art and it never ever was successful, lol. But I loved doing it and I loved hearing about your adventures, I think we would have gotten along well.

Reverse entrepreneurialism: I once paid the most loud, obnoxious, annoying girl in class £1 to stop talking for 5 minutes so the teacher would actually let us leave and go home

YAY! ADAM! You two - need more of that noise :D I don't think I did anything entrepreneurial, although I do remember that when Pokémon cards first came out when I was in primary school that a few of us misunderstood the "retreat" rules. Somehow we thought that if you couldn't cover the cost to retreat then you had to forfeit that card to your opponent. As in, despite the fact that it was *your* Pokémon card, in *your* deck, you had to give it over to the person you were playing against if you wanted to retreat but couldn't afford it, giving up that card completely, *forever*, not just for the game. Because it was a small school and before people had basically instant access to the internet (we relied on a Pokémon magazine for information and updates), I didn't find out until high school that we'd been playing it wrong for a couple of years. Got some good cards from it though :P Probably lost a few too lol.

I used to sell sticky hands for $1 in Junior high. My sister was a dental hygenist, so I'd take tons of them from the prize box. People used to walk up to me and go "Are you the sticky hand girl?" and we'd make a trade. Man, that nickname did not sound good as I got older.

I wrote, as a 9-10 year old in 2002-2003, what would I suppose be self-insert fanfic of Back to the Future. Printed, card paper for a cover that felt like a cover, & my father showed it to his friends at work. One of them has a copy, and also a copy of I suppose an audiobook of it, which 10yo me made with sound recorder & maybe text to speech? I live in fear that it will get out.

One day me and my friends were playing in the street and decided to cut the flower heads off a bush and try to sell them to passing motorists 😂 I also had the idea of writing a book (made of stapled together pieces of paper) and offering it to my local library. Never actually finished that story.

Seeing how you maintain great relationships with your friends and how some of you or maybe all of you are living together I think you and your friends are the real life representation of the TV show Friends, Also by looking at your black hair and pale skin you must be playing Monica, right?
