I own a CZ Shadow 2 compact. The trigger when in single action on it is way too light for carrying, and Cajun Gun works will tell you the same! The safety is way too mushy and much too easy to knock off safe. It needs extended safeties like the Shadow 2 full size. Anything that will fit the Shadow 2 full size internally will fit the compact. About the only thing that won't fit are the grips... If it had about a 3 to 4 lb trigger in single action it would be much better. Nobody will say they have springs to fix the mushiness of the safety. You can buy the extended safety levers that are the same ones that the Shadow 2 full size use if you can find them... CZ WILL TELL YOU THE GUN WAS BUILT TO FIT IN THE IPSC BOX. But they also want to sell them for concealed carry.

Doesn't carrying it as a DA/SA solve the trigger weight problem and act as a safety? Why would you want to ruin the shadow 2 heritage with a 5-6 lb trigger?
@rickstatler5581

@@AJ-hn6fp if you ever have to fire it double action, after you fire a shot it automatically becomes cocked in single action. So the only way to decock it is by pulling the trigger while holding the hammer and manually lowering the hammer. @rickstatler5581 I know, I carry a S2C and I'm M class carry optics with a full size s2. What I'm saying is, if people want the decocker and safety, then get an sp01. The s2c has the nice light trigger is should for people who want a smaller shadow 2 pistol. And the demographic who has carried it will have decocked it about 12 million times for each stage start.
@rickstatler5581
Ай бұрын
@@AJ-hn6fp and what I'm saying is if you ever have to defend yourself with it by firing a shot, it will then be cocked and locked. And if cops are there and you've got this thing cocked and locked and you're full of adrenaline, try and decock it with shaky hands in the presence of a cop, and see if you can do it without a negligent discharge. And if you have a negligent discharge in the presence of a cop I can just about guarantee you you will be dead a second or two later! And that my friend is the problem! Don't ever fire a shot accidental or intentional in the presence of one or several cops especially when they're looking at you as a possible perpetrator holding a cocked and locked pistol! Once again you will be DOA.......
@AJ-hn6fp

@rickstatler5581 you're taking the wrong path here. I'd still say, there is another gun for you then. That level of mental gymnastics to justify not having a negligent discharge is absurd. Other option.... throw the safety on and put it back in the holster in my pants. This has gone down a strange path of theoretical thought that is honestly pretty silly. Decocking a gun without a decocker, which I've done about a million times, is not something I'm worried about. Just get another gun if that's a problem
