Great wee stove but curious about portability. If it's installed with a flue wouldn't this make it permanant or do you have a system where you can just unhook?

I had a Kimberly stove, it was a TON of work processing wood to fit in such a small space. You'd be much better off with a Jotul F 602. It does take up a Tiny bit more space. But they've sold millions of these things. The Kimberly stove will take you months to get in. They don't have them in stock ready to ship

Thanks for the video! The new additions sound so helpful - we're still saving the money for this little stove and will be so happy when we can finally(!) buy it! How much money does one have to have upfront to be a distributor?

$3500 is more than a bit much for me. During the whole video I waited for the price and I expected to hear about $600 but then again I understand that it is made out of stainless steel which is quite costly. Is there a version of this stove that's in my price range? it does not have to put out the huge amount of btus, nor does it have to be as beautiful, it would be nice to have a glass door but it's not necessary. Now I get that the stove has many benefits and I'm not doubting it but please understand why some of us want a cheaper version. Sometimes when some or most of us go "off grid", it's because we are trying to survive... meaning we aren't rich and at $3500 dollars, there aren't many off griders, tiny homers, rv/van dwellers/boat dwellers who will not buy this stove. They will not buy it because it is not within their reach financially. It is a wonderful product, economical, clean and environmentally friendly but just too expensive!!! Please follow up this video when you have a model in the $400 to $800 dollar range. Thank You.

$3500. is $10.00 per day for a year. after that it is free heat & power & cooking forever ! if you burn waste wood. Yes expensive at first. but most will run it on free fuel. free wood is everywhere if you look for it. I would have one if i had a use for it.

How does the secondary burner work? That's the secret right? Turning the off gas from the first burn into a super high temp heat is important to know is it some kind d of radio active material that reacts with the smoke to make the smoke so hot?

I would like to see a actual video of a in depth review of the Katydid and see it put to the test in a actual client's home over 1500 square feet being used as the only source of heat and being in a cold climate at least USDA cold hardiness zone 4 as well as temperature checks when in use of the home to see how warm it gets. I'm really considering buying one but with so little wishy washy information out there on it there is no way I'm going to drop 6k on something I know almost nothing about. If you can put out a video actually proving the claims not only would you have my sale but the sales of a lot of other people that don't want to get ripped off please don't take that the wrong way. Please put out a video and send it to me like i have described and you can shut up a lot of skeptical people, Tell them to pound sand and kick rocks, and Kimberly and Katydid will sell a lot better I think you have a product that is a game changer if it can live up to its claims.

Roger Lehet Is this because the secondary combustion chamber would not be heated sufficiently, i.e. there would be no coals, but rather a gooey mess? Concern regarding the sulphuric in the rubber? I ask this as there are a huge number of used tires that need to be disposed of and a number of power plants burn coal/tire mixtures...

If you need a great little stove in that price range, maybe not as efficient as this one, but efficient enough to get us through the winter, I recommend the Grizzly Mini Cubic Wood Stove, it has worked for us very nicely and we love it, we have a tiny house near Santa Fe, NM, 310sf, and the Grizzly heats it up all the way and it is very tiny...I hope this helps!
