In this third instalment of the king Hezekiah series, we will explore the archaeology and history of the infamous Assyrian invasion of Judah and Jerusalem in 701 BC that was led by king Sennacherib of the Neo Assyrian empire which can be found in the Old Testament books of 2nd Kings, 2nd Chronicles and Isaiah. Topics explored in the video include the evidence for the famous siege of Lachish, the evidence for the failed conquest of Jerusalem by the Assyrians, the murder of Sennacherib and more besides!
