@Alex-ov3bz

The XLS 2502 will Definitely make the RF-7iii come more alive but You also need to get the the Rolls Promatch consumer to pro audio MB15b stereo converter rca to xlr to get the best sound out of the amp. Because your dealing with pro gear amp to consumer. It’s like 50$ but worth it. Let me know if need anything else!

I have new RF-7iii's powered from a Marantz SR7015. I started with a single amp per channel (nominal 125 Watts per channel), and although the soundstage was very good and I hear more detail than ever before, I felt something was missing, so I hooked up an old Yamaha stereo amp that provides lots of clean power and the RF-7iii's sounded much more impressive. I found the big drivers move a lot more air with clean power - it sounds larger and more expansive. Now I'm bi-amping for a nominal 250 Watts per channel, but I still think the clean power provided by a dedicated power amp will take it to the next level - I'm planning on getting a class A/B 500 Watt per channel power amp soon.

No hiss at all the RF-7iii are 99db so they are very efficient. I also have a rca to xlr converter from my receiver to the crown xls which amplified the signal and zero hiss just pure sound. It’s a killer setup. I hope to do a sound demo shortly.

lenso010 I use the Rolls MB15b Promatch 2-Way Stereo Converter - Line Level Audio - RCA / XLR. 45$ on eBay. Put the volume gain at 50% or 75%. Don’t max it out it will be way to much on the crown amp and speakers. I have my crown 2502 on one notch below half way and it’s plenty. I only compared the rf7iii vs. svs ultra tower.
