@@CapStar362 Not of the engine. Of the surrounding area. Those sparks on the spinner cone mean the presence of FOD on that run-up spot. Whoever manages that area needs to do a better job at checking it. Or am i wrong?

I know! When you think about all the forces going on inside that engine. And see the way the whole pod just bounces around. Just the centrifugal forces on the first compressor fan is simply incomprehensible to me. Sure, intellectually, you know it's all been engineered and everything has probably a couple hundred percent fudge factor for safety, but the animal part of my mind, just can't believe these things can stay together.

@@rubenproost2552 I can't speak for the 330 (never worked it) but on the A300 the parking brake system is only 1500psi. So for high power engine runs you must physically hold the brakes or the plane will move.

@r_ elentless01 might not be able to see it there, but if you are ever on a plane doing a stationary high power run it definitely moves. It is almost to the point where it is hard to read engine indications. Lots of shaking and vibration.

It uses JET A1 kerosine fuel. I think it's much too big and heavy to put on a truck. But if you have a couple of miljon dollars to spend you can always try it...

The pylon should withstand much higher forces. Think of a huge bird strike during take off for example.

The pylons are designed with multiple screws along the wing so it couldnt go loose. It happened once that one engine got ripped off, striking the 4th engine which resulted into a deadly crash. Since then, they got completely redesigned and much more rigid
