I really enjoy watching the quality training that speaks for itself + the straight forward commentary/coaching. I think this is how social media is best used.

Regarding Olympic lifts for non weightlifting athletes. In my own experience (high school volleyball coach), when I do a predominantly snatch and clean program and I have to participate in a drill I'm good. I only get gassed when a rally goes long, but that's to be expected with a bunch of reps of maximal effort jumps. If it's more of a power lifting program, or even more of a bodybuilding style program, I'm good for only one of two jumps when I've squatted or deadlifted in the last couple days. Granted I'm in my early fifties, and a high school athlete is probably going to recover a lot better, but I think that really speaks highly of Olympic lifts for athletes.

I started following your advice on plyos (just doing jumps for 20-25 minutes). Your plyo sessions give me lots of ideas. Now my plyo sessions are fun because I keep them random, as long as I'm jumping with max effort.

Even though he's not a S&C coach, I feel the same way about Natural Hypertrophy. I've tried to get into what he talks about, but I just can't, partially due to the fact his videos are super long. I can tell he's a smart guy, but alot of times I tend to zone out and that's why I don't watch his vids anymore.

Very good videos with hands on training and theory. I understand that scc is close to your heart, however its uninteresting for the majority of users to hear about personal disagreements between coaches and the ups and downs of that particular job

2:22 I find any type of stretching like I do yoga on my own. I get back spasms if I don’t do yoga multiple days a week. Have you experienced back spasms at all and how do you prevent them personally? I feel like the only way is stretching and sleep.

I had quite a few issues with that at the lowest point of some pretty serious back/hip issues. A lot of stretching, for not only the low back but for the IT bands, Glutes, psoas muscle, hamstrings, etc.

Hi Will, A question if you have the time: I'm training a youth athlete (14) who has a goal to make his football team on the O and D line. Unfortunately, it looks like he severely lacked physical literacy growing up and he moves like shit. Doing 10 m sprints, he complains of knee and hip pain (video shows he has knee valgus and over pronation in his feet). I'm wondering if I should address hip and feet strengthing? I'm at a point where I'm considering low hanging fruit: teaching squatting, pushing, pulling and consider some med ball throws once he gets stronger. Thanks for your time.

This style of jumping is flawed when comes to sport transfer. Anytime you drive your knees over your hips to finish the jump you are dramatically changing the movement pattern to the point where its really not even helpful to your sport because vertical jumping in sport is finished with powerful hip extension (spiking or dunking etc). Box jumps where you land with miminmal knee lift work much better. Either way super impressive and amazing to do no warmup wow. Great content as always UND 👏 👌
