How to make a basic knurled knob using simple modeling techniques in Fusion 360. This is the first installment in a multi-part series that progresses from basic modeling through the sculpting and patch work-spaces.
The first section concentrates on symmetrical objects like knobs, vases and lamp bases. This video uses the simplest technique, extrude a sketch and make a circular array. Other videos in the series explore the revolve command, lofting using planes on paths, and finally, moves on to the sculpting environment.
These short videos are more of a summary than a detailed guide. By using similar projects with a variety techniques, we can explore the advantages and disadvantages of each strategy, technique and work-space.
