I also have the 180 gen 2 and cross mags. The rounds aren’t chambering properly with the cross mags because the front mag lip is a tad high. This causes the cartridge mouth to catch said lip when the bolt pushes the cartridge forward. I seemed to have solved this problem by slightly filing down the inside edge of the mag lip creating a smoother sort of “ramp” for the cartridge to slide up into the chamber. After this slight modification, I’ve put about 50 round per mag without a single jam. Not much but still better than your video situation! I hope you try this, you may get to enjoy those $60 cross mags. Edit: subbed btw

I see that happening with snap caps- I was thinking it was catching on the feed ramps but every other round is catching on the lip it seems. I’ll try smoothing it out a bit. Thanks for pointing this out- this could mean the WK is no longer a bolt action with these mags!

Fired 500 rounds since 2021 and so far no issues whatsoever! Upgraded it to a KD 18" handrail, Magpul vertical grip and Vortex Crossfire II red dot. Love it! Stay well.

Cross Mags are designed for AR15 pistols, and nothing else. That said, the issue with the various Canadian made “18” based rifles in regards to magazine related performance is that they are all copying the same flawed bolt carrier dimensions and/or bolt carrier centerline, as it pertains to the bolt carrier centerline referenced to the lower receiver. This is why the bolt hits the feedlips on some magazines. The consistency of some of these rifles leaves a lot to be desired. You can have two of the same rifle side by side, one will consistently hit the feedlips, or at least drag on the feedlips of virtually every magazine available, and the next rifle won’t hit or drag on any of them. There are a few ways for the manufacturers to fix this issue. IF, the manufacturer is ok with the magazine sitting a bit lower in the assembly, they can simply shift the mag catch down. If they prefer to keep the magazine in its current position, then they must shift the bolt centerline UP, or, add clearance to the two surfaces on the bolt that run parallel to the magazine feedlips. For end users wanting to make their rifles perform better with all mags, they can file about .005” or so off the TOP of their mag catch. Or, they can file about the same off the top of any offending magazines. More advanced users may elect to machine the surfaces on the bolt carrier for more clearance. Hopefully these changes get implemented by the Canadian 18 manufacturers so that they are more compatible and reliable with all magazine types!

It's definitely a firearm issue, and not the magazine. Our magazines are much more consistent than the various 180's on the market. You won't be able to find a set of Cross Mags that have more than a .003" deviation between them, in any dimension. Sadly a lot of 180's on the market have tolerances up to 4x worse than that. The 180 manufacturers need to put more clearance between the bolt carrier and magazine feedlips. This will solve most of the magazine related issues that plague these guns.

I didn't move the table, it was in that spot, facing down range when I arrived. I was the only person on the range, in fact I was the only person on any range that day. You're really gonna be upset when I tell you that i did some rapid fire off camera, and a couple times I even alternated targets from a static position. One time I even shot into a body of water at an angle. 😯 On the way to the range I also rolled through a stop sign, and I regularly wear white after labour day. I sometimes chew with my mouth open, and I've even worn socks with my sandals.
