This is either 2001 or 2002.....Konnan here has a CRYSTAL CLEAR spot-on analysis of everything that happened as if he has had TWENTY years to sit back and think about it all....THIS guy should have been one of the ones running the company!

He's a very smart guy. I remember Max Moon, but i never knew that was Konnan until after his time in WCW. I remember how hot he was in WCW and what he says about them holding guys back and screwing up is so true. He's right, he could have been a lot bigger; he has far more charisma than someone like Randy Orton, that's for sure

Konnan is one of the biggest backstage players in Mexico. He didn't do drugs for a long time, I do think he was smoking in the late 90's and drinking, but before that and after that time period he was clean. The whole Mexican gangster look was a gimmick, he actually is Cuban and like Hall and Nash he knew pop culture.

I remember being a WCW fan back in the day specifically for the Mexican wrestlers and the cruiserweights that were there. The mid card matches were always better than the main events, because that's where the talent was. It's a shame that they were held back so much.

The disadvantage with having a union is that the crowd would have very little input in selecting the wrestler they want, and I think it would hurt the competitive spirit of the sport.

Think about what you said. If the Mexican wrestlers had given better matches than the rest, who was the actual main event attraction tht drew people to watch WCW? They were main eventers that could put on a show anytime of the card.

as much as i hate to say it, Konnan, Psychosis, and Eddie were the only three luchadores who deserved a push at the time. Rey didn't have a mix of heavyweight and cruserweight moves at the time like he does now and the rest just didn't have the tools to be great. Konnan had the biggest chance considering his size and Eddie as well considering his style (a mix of lucha, tech, and strong). Again, its truly too bad that Konnan isn't making more money in the business, but at least he's doing well

Lets get this straight I am in no way shape or form a fan of Konnan the wrestler but he's not lying he had heat and was over big time. I don't believe he was big enuff to be the wcw heavyweight champ but U.s or t.v 100% and if I'm not mistaken he was a tag team holder. WCW not using guys like Jerchico,Mysterio,Booker T(Booker finally got a single push but I thought it came to late) and yes even Konnan the right way was the down fall

This just kind of shows you how the people calling the shots and the politics in wrestling can really make create peoples view of you through television. I definitely was not into Konnan at the time but I definitely think it was from stereotypical gimmicks because I've watched like all of his shoots and interviews on youtube.
