1:32 Konosuba (and by extension since you're going to talk about it's TRPG later on, Goblin Slayer) are both light novel series that would get anime adaptations later on in their life. It's a bit of a pet peeve of mine whenever people talk about anime like this and don't decide to research on a fact that is easily obtained through a single Google search. I hope I don't sound mean about this, this is just how I usually feel whenever I hear something like that! I should also mention that Yen Press is mainly a LN/Manga localization publisher, and they are the main publishers of Konosuba, Goblin Slayer and all of their spin offs outside of Japan (excluding their anime adaptations). They probably decided "why not? Let's localize the TRPGs too!" Considering that they're using these two TRPGs as a way to start localizing more JP only TRPGs, I am surprised that they still haven't gotten to translating Meikyuu Kingdom yet, but I'll give it time. Aside from that, good video!

As I've watched your video, this gonna be perfect with my stupid lewd RPG players group. I bet they will be begging to use the Cheats so the game will be absurdly funny to play. For One Shots this seem like a very fun game. For the long run or for the "pro players" that's a no no. But hey, the main point here is to have a good laugh. =D

Arianrhod, what this is based off of, is an *absolute delight* for longer games; there's more depth to the class system. (You have a main class, which cannot change and is one of the four "classics," fighter, mage, thief, priest. Then you also have your pick of numerous sub classes that you can change upon level up. Doubling up is allowed, e.g Fighter/Fighter is allowed.) Given that I'm seeing a lot more commercial translations of Japanese ttRPGs, I have some hope that'll eventually get officially published as well.

In the book it says if you roll a 6 or one on either it’s either a crit (6) or fumble (1).

Page 204 says otherwise. Moreover, with the setup you described, what would the result be if the dice came up 7 due to a 6 and a 1?

One part that I cut out was about how Konosuba was made using a system called SRS, Standard Roleplay System. There's a lot of games that use this in Japan, and it's almost like seeing "d20 System" slapped on something in the US. The good thing about Konosuba (as a show/book) though, is that it's all about how dysfunctional the main characters are. So with dysfunctional players, any game can be like Konosuba. (Even this one.)

@@AaronderSchaedel Thanks, that context is really helpful! If you cover any branded SRS games in the future I think that'd be a nice thing to quickly mention.
