Plac Nowy, popularly known as Jewish Square, is a square in Krakow's Kazimierz district. Nowa, Rabina Meiselsa and Warszauera streets branch off from it, and the eastern part is closed by Estery street. In the middle of the square there is the so-called a round block called a rondel by local residents. It is a commercial pavilion built in 1900, consisting of two structures: an internal hall and a ring surrounding it with trading points built on a dodecagonal plan. After the war, Okrąglak again served as a market hall, although for a number of years most of the shops were merely warehouses for traders selling their goods at stalls. Currently, its walls house grocery stores, butcheries and catering facilities. See Plac Nowy and Okrąglak in an archival film from the 1970s.
