Anthony Loke should pay attention to this video and implement new policies (eg more convenience local shopping areas) to limit urban sprawl ! Excellent video !.

Every Malaysian should send this message to Anthony Loke & Govt.
Klang Valley has 9mil people. It's now very very critical to use public transport. At least 50% of people who can use public transport to go work/shopping must use now.

ya i also use it everyday despite need to drive to the MRT station T_T , and have to passby banks + eateries, that place is nightmare because so many cars and people double triple park -___- , citizens also another problem

@@lamkw6329 Good, govt should build more places to park and ride. It is inevitable Klang Valley will become like Tokyo more than 10mil people so public transport and better urban planning are key.

It won't help. Public transport will only be efficient covering certain radious. Too far it will be expensive and less traffic in certain station it will run at loss. Government need to shrink the city make it dense to have better and effecient public transport.

@@brandonwoo8299Dude, you think rubber meh can shrink. What govt can do is stop expansion and focus on leveling up existing development areas

@@leealex24 you know 7 meh. Planned shrinkage, an urban planning philosophy to deliberately reduce city services to encourage reduced population.

Very good and very informative video, thank you very much for your time and effort! 谢谢!
Ask council, local housing ministry and transport ministry to work together. Improve pedestrian walkway, improve public transport infrastructure, reduce existing road lanes in favour of pedestrian walkways and bike lanes. Current MRT stations are built away from high density areas most likely due to costs savings as it is easier to build on empty land instead of drilling an underground station. This has to change. Not to blame Ah Loke but I have yet to see aroadmap on how he will improve public transport in KL or how to increase the public transport usage. This should form part of his KPI.

Building stations at highly dense area is very very expensive. Because Klang Valley has too many flyovers, resulting in tunneling being the only solution, but the same people who complain "why is there no public transport" will be the same people who complain "why is the cost so high?". A good example is the MRT3, which is now postponed until don't know when because of the high cost. 😂 Oh, try reserving one lane for bus, people will say "let's vote them out in the next GE" 😅. I still remember the netizens rage during the Jalan Ampang bus lane trial in mid 2023. 😢 One more, people still have mindset that "driving is more atas". 😮 (BTW, I work in the rail industry, so I love trains and railways)

@@leeyuheng8456 Actually, never under estimate the power of millions of people cooperate. Can you imagine if out of 9mil people in Klang Valley, of which half are working and half of that take public transport, it will make a very big impact to reducing carbon emissions and traffic jam. If it's used a lot consistently, this can also be used as an excuse to govt to make public transport even better.

Perhaps we need to build a rail with the most effective route instead of the lowest cost?
