As electric vehicles become more and more popular, and electric car charging networks become more and more advanced, we're starting to see more people than ever before undertake an electric car road trip.
We're also seeing more and more people share their experiences -- both good and bad -- of the same.
This past weekend, The New York Times ran an article by energy correspondent Ivan Penn in which he detailed what seemed like a pretty arduous trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and back in a single day. The headline "LA to Vegas and Back by Electric Car: 8 Hours Driving; 5 More Plugged In" said it all. And by all, we mean the same old fears that people have about traveling long distance.
Normally, we'd go through such an article and point out some of the areas in which perhaps the journalist or blogger was mistaken or inexperienced. But this time, we were able to go one step further: compare it to a very similar trip we made in January to CES in a Chevy Bolt of our own.
