Hey, great video. I'm an auto mechanic and can appreciate the effort. One thing though, remember to check transmission fluid while the engine is running. You won't get an accurate reading with the car off.

Wow! That ring was a nightmare! I tried your method all morning, and could not do it. I finally hammered the clip into the top groove, c-clamped a piece of wood over about 1/3 of the clip with the notched ends exposed.Tapped one end into the groove; tapped the other end, and it went in like a magic trick. Your video showed me that it could be done. I lost how many times that clip sprang out like a rocket. After all this, the same noise is coming out of the drivers side. I replaced a good wheel bearing.

Correct, same thumping noise from that side. I'll just drive it until whatever it is gets looser, and I can find it. Good Lord, I got to find a tool for that clip! I don't want do that again.

You're suppose to check the transmission fluid with the car in neutral and running. You overfilled the transmission, which could cause issues in the future..

first of all love the videos, Now can I give you a few tips ........ " NEVER " spray your brake discs with paint, it contaminates your brake pads, and will cause sqeeking and bad brakes, and always put copper grease on the back of the new pads when installing. And when changing the oil, fill your new oil filter with oil.

i think u should check the ATF while the car is ON! put the gear to N not P because when its P the oil will be at the bottom (which is lower than it supposed to be) , no?

+lee22she the noise i was hearing was from my transmission( it's a CVT), while changing the axle i got pieces of metal in the fluid that came out from the gear box. i convert my car from cvt to manual and it drives really good

I hammered the old one out like you did. I've spent hours, and tried 4 different retaining ring pliers. I can't get the new ring in. How did you do that?

hollow3501 I believe so. But it also depends on your car's ABS, some cars will indicate that something else is wrong, not necessary the bearing.

You buy the whole press for this job? Ur rich lol I think for bearings, should use high temp grease, they name them differently, high temp vs general purpose, for a reason

jone cena Ok, at this point you will have to make sure everything feels tight, from rotors, brake pads, tie-rods, to front lower control arms.
