Thankyou so much for this sebina! The info was really useful :) just wanted to wish you the best for the future of your career x I totally agree with what you said about educated people not judging you on the outside because sometimes it's easy to get down by how differently others treat you as a Hijabi but the ones who treat you like normal/nicely deffo help overcome the negativity xx

As a college student that has currently started their AS year, I have decided to pick the subjects; English Language, English Literature, History and French. Now, you must be thinking why I have more than one essay based subject but during my research phase, I discovered that universities are respective of and subjective to more traditional subjects which are strictly essay based, especially for a Law undergraduate degree program. Additionally, I had even conducted research on whether or not foreign languages would be viable for Law or Politics degree courses and surprisingly, they are really recommended. However, universities may find it challenging to comply with candidates that are to pick a language which is of their native origin but there is still a large possibility that they would accept you with an essay based subject as well as foreign language. The one distinct piece of advise I am sure every career prospects advisor has mentioned to all students before their A Level or University period is that pick your options carefully and start to think about which career path you would like to head into in the future. You should start this before even picking your A Levels as A Level course subjects can reflect your degree/university and whether you will be eligible in getting accepted or not.

I'd love to see the memorisation video! And I hope you don't mind me asking which uni you went to? And when it comes to applying for training contracts, did you get any feedback? If so what kind of feedback? I'm inshallah going to start my penultimate year and trying to get ahead and get my cv checked etc but I'm worried that I'm just not good enough compared to other law students as it's incredibly competitive!

as far as my understanding, if you dont secure a solicitor training contract prior study u might struggle with career and financially. What do u think about this, is it worth it to start with study without securing a contract and what are the chances getting a job position in law field after completing LPC

As someone who is looking at going to uni to study Law with the aim of being an aviation or entertainment solicitor, would it be feasible for me to do this as I suffer from Fibromyalgia which causes me to have a bad memory so i am worried about being able to retain case information and read and remember long texts and key points....😕

Really need some help please. I'm looking at applying to City University of London to do a law degree but as I suffer from Fibromyalgia and am on 20 odd tablets a day which both result in me having poor memory, I am worried I won't be able to cope if the exams and other assessments/coursework involves remembering things. Any help is appreciated. 😊

Esha Khan thank you so much for your replies. It's all quite overwhelming at the moment with the symptoms and deciding on unis etc. Having had a look in more detail, I can see that different unis weigh units differently. I was looking at other unis that mainly do essays because then poor memory isn't such an issue. But do you know what sort of help would be available to people like myself with exams so that I don't completely flop at them. I did get all A*-B on GCSE's and D*D*D doing aviation operations extended diploma and certificates in Spanish and Japanese, but that was when I was in good condition, so as I mentioned before, it would be very hard to accept if I ended up getting like a 2:2 because of my symptoms.
