I have seen what one punch with brass knuckles does, includes missing teeth , broken bones and skin with swelling to the point the person is unrecognizable. I am finally getting around to watching all this during the trial I basically listened with ear buds when I could while working . First AH had the audacity to accuse various witnesses on JD’s behalf of perjury, now after the trial she and or her attorney are accusing the jury of conversing about the case with their family. They have also blamed the internet and public opinion for being responsible for the juries decision. The jury was instructed daily not to discuss the case with anyone or to read or listen to any information regarding the case. So basically you are going right back to defamation of character for the jury, court, public etc., all because things didn’t go your way. They have also made clear how they fought to have this case concealed from television and the knowledge of the public, was their something to hide? They are also indicating AH could not afford to pay the 1O,350,000, which would actually be 8,350,000.She should consider how lenient the jury was on the settlement especially considering the amount of her 100,000,O00 dollar law suit. Amazing that you can’t pay the settlement, but you can pay your attorney’s again for an appeal. Also amazing how you can accuse everyone of perjury and misconduct with absolutely no proof again for your accusations.

I agree. She is basically picking up where Amber left off in defaming him. The jury made their decision. A jury member came forward and answered questions on Twitter I think. They didn't give their name. But unanimously they did not believe Amber based on her own testimonies. The thing they couldn't agree with was $$ to be paid. Elaine needs to get a grip and accept that they didn't believe her because of her own actions. They also didn't like her looking at them the way she was throughout the trial. If Elaine truly thinks her client has a case for appeal then save it for court not the media. She's basically enabling Amber's behavior, which the whole world can see is really destructive. She should be pointing Amber in the direction of getting some legitimate mental health help.

Probably not. I don't say this to stigmatize BPD, but one of the hallmarks is black and white thinking - no one ever thinks they're the villain of a story. People with "severe" BPD (there isn't an official scale of it, but some are far more impaired than others) literally cannot accept that they may be wrong or that other people see them as being in the wrong. If they aren't the hero, they must be the villain and there's no way they're a villain. No room for grey areas in that type of thought. My mom has 'severe' BPD and acts very similar to Amber Heard. My sister also has BPD and couldn't act more dissimilar if she tried, because she's able to acknowledge that her reactions are sometimes over the top and she needs an outside opinion. Amber nor my mom can acknowledge that.

Super late but the entire origin of the Me Too movement has already been lost on everyone. I don’t even think most people know the origin. Everyone says the movement was started by Alyssa Milano in 2017 but that’s just white Hollywood elite co-opting a movement that was started in 2006 by a black activist, Tarana Burke, to bring attention to the massive suffering on girls and women of color. It was not about white Hollywood elite. It’s great that Hollywood elite have been able to get justice (specifically those who were abused by Weinstein), but it took R. Kelly’s victims more than 25 years to finally get justice. THAT is what the Me Too movement was created for. BIPOC girls and women who are ignored, not believed, and more likely than white women to be victims.

I'm a survivor of DV & I saw right through her. Most DV victims celebrated Johnny's win. They knew she was taking it too far & lied. For every major beating she talked about there are photos of her looking fine either the same day or the next. She lied & we all saw through it most importantly the jury saw through her photos, recordings, lies & lack of tears.

Did you see Elaine's interview? Considering that AH just lost the defamation case, you'd think she'd be more careful about what she says. Is she breaking any kind of ethical standard for laywers to go out there and criticise the US legal system and pretty much say the jury was wrong? She's out there talking about evidence that wasn't given in this case but was in the UK case, and is leaving out context. She's making the stuff we saw seem contradictory to what they were proved to be. "There was evidence allowed here that should not have been allowed, and it confused the jury." It's like she's insulting their intelligence. Elaine is also blaming social media for demonizing AH, when the jury wasn't allowed to look at social media for the case.
@stephaniekalesse5624
2 жыл бұрын
I’m curious about all the same things…🤔 They should be watching what they say… AH wants to appeal, then appeal, but do not still speak about JD as if he did those things knowing she was pretty much proven to have lied about it. Idk I think they’re not just bitter over the verdict, but they got away with so much with the UK trial because not all of his evidence was allowed to be shown, he was very limited & was pretty much guilty the second he walked in the courtroom in the UK, hence JD wanting to make this case so public. But again, I’d like to know if they’re digging themselves a hole too by saying these things on tv.

I just want to acknowledge that EDB’s coverage of this trial was outstanding. The more “law tube” I’ve watched after her, the more clear it became that not everyone with a camera can produce quality legal commentary and opinions. I also appreciate that she’s been doing this for some time and not merely cashing in on a famous actor’s personal misery. There are reasons this channel blew up and she was very kind to others riding her coattails. The farther we trickle down, however, the lower the quality. So much so I was tempted to buy someone a dictionary lol. Anyway, thanks, Emily, for your fair and enlightening coverage, your embracing of diversity and of course your love of the cursey words. I will forever think of both you and JD every time I pour myself a mega pint. 💜

One of my favorite moments was during Nuimeister’s (sp?) cross, when Heard’s lawyer opened the door to the other evidence. Judge A: “Please restate your question.” Lawyer: “Uh… I forgot my question so I’ll just move on.” Judge A: “That’s ok - Judy, please read back the question for the witness.” Maybe I should give that lawyer the benefit of the doubt but that was an obvious cop-out because they messed up!
