I would like to know why there's no secret recordings of AH asking JD or them talking about the SA & physical assault that she's claiming he did to her? Like in the 1 of her talking about punching him, why didn't she say you're such a baby about me hitting you, but what about all the times you hurt me in these ways? She has pics of drugs he supposedly left on her table, pics of marks on her arms & face, Video of him slamming cabinet doors & raging mad about things anyone would be upset about, but absolutely nothing about SA or physical harm! I'm dumbfounded!! I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, because as a survivor of DV I know what it's like loving someone like that & wanting to "fix him", but I just can't anymore with her!!

As a psychotherapist who specializes / enjoys working with BPD, I do not agree with other therapists who say it is their job to believe their clients. I am there to help treat the client and work myself out of job. Sometimes that means having really difficult conversations where I confront the bullshit. This, of course, means I have to build rapport and trust with the client, so when I do confront, they know it’s coming from a genuine place. People with these disorders do not trust people who they know they can manipulate - and they won’t get better. I also always assume there are 2 sides to every story. I am my clients’ advocate, always, but being an advocate does NOT mean validating every thing that they say. It means challenging them to be TRUTHFUL with themselves so they can actually get better. Ugh. This testimony was screaming histrionic. Dr. Curry nailed her testimony and explained everything so well. The other expert was not credible and seemed to be experiencing countertransference in my biased opinion. In my experience, victims of PTSD don’t talk about it. It’s something I have to challenge and encourage them to do. They need to tell people and own their story - so if the defense is trying to prove her story is true because she told people… it just doesn’t make sense to my anecdotal experiences.

Thank you for sharing this, I am a Clinical Psychologist and I too enjoy working with clients who have BPD and agree that rapport building is very necessary in order to start to challenge beliefs and behaviours. I currently have many clients with BPD who have never been violent toward anyone but themselves (as corroborated by friends/family/partners etc.) who are endorsing so much more risk currently with the onslaught of armchair Psychologist's often misinformed and very defamatory statements on social media. Are you finding that any of your current clients have been affected by the case? A lot of my colleagues and peers are reporting the same experience as myself. I am also struggling a bit with the narrative at the moment regarding "a true victim would never..." type statements. In my own experience, and as you would know, trauma responses are extremely complex. I have some clients who remember their trauma vividly and some who can barely remember much at all, some who use dark humour and joke as a coping mechanism and some who don't like to speak about it without a lot of prompting. I understand that a lot of survivors are coming forward with their own stories and that can be very empowering but I have had clients recently who have also said that these "lists" of what have been deemed appropriate responses are causing shame because they may have in fact, eventually fought back or shouted at their abuser, recorded evidence as it is often necessary in legal battles etc. Your view on this would be great to hear 👍

As a man, whose minimized his own accounts of abuse against him (Childhood too), and knows BS from a mile away, I do believe AH does believe she's telling "her truth." I just think she's mixing many truths, from many accounts by various people. One girl, in a group we both attend, for those in need of help said to me, "Doesn't matter how much body of water someone drowns in; those in a pool; or those in the ocean, when someone's drowning they're in danger." Do I feel sympathetic towards AH when she's doing her best to cry? Honestly? Yes. It sucks seeing someone cry, even without tears, and/or if she's faking completely. You have to have a lot of hate in you to not feel something. Yet, and still, all the contradictories, plus her theatrics when halted; augmenting her facial expressions instantaneously, is a disgusting display that leads me to HIGHLY doubt AH. People are saying you need 100% of the jury to agree on defamation, and I'm rooting for Johnny, but him saying he jovially pushed his foot against her butt might hurt him. Playing or not, no one has any say in how someone else might perceive it to be offensive, nor the measure of.

Really? You believe Depp who laughs. No victim in the same room with their abuser can laugh that much. He's got millions. His properties alone are worth more than amber has ever made. He's the one dragging her to court. I know what it's like to be raped and abused like her. You can't fully cry, your body reacts but you are forced to dissociate and shut off emotions for so many years that the body shaking and half crying is muscle memory, your brain is done. He's such a predator you can't even see it, or you're just a follower. All these men coming out claiming to be victims, ask them why over 90% of all murder, rape and hospitalized injuries are inflicted by men!? It's very seen. They claim to be embarrassed or minimize it, because there's no hospitalized victim, I've been nearly strangled to death like amber. Women don't even have that strength. Johnny Depp took up for Roman Polanski laughing at his victims, by the end of 2017 with the Weinstein issues his career was ruined by articles on him supporting rape culture. Depp has admired Allen Ginsberg since school days, a known pedophile. Part of nambla. Depp gave BJ's to old men to get to the top. The viper where River Phoenix died was Depp's jealousy for such a talented good kid, they gave him a speedball after convincing him to come by then laughed and kicked him out playing a goodbye song as he convulsed to death. Anthony Vivian fox was his partner whom he had murdered the day before he was to expose Depp stealing millions from the viper. He's dangerous and insane. So are the people who just rely on social media for information rather than doing their own investigative research. You really have no right to an opinion without doing the research.

I worked with abused women and I saw probably 1000 of her saying the true and they are far from this speech. They can not laugh, they do not remember details as the huge jar or carpet, they remember her feelings. They have eyes full of tears red and sometimes like death, they feel dirty, not self steem and most important really afraid to meet his expartner, and; if someone do any movement near they inmediatly cover themselves an look frighteneen look down shaking looking in pain and many other stuff... usually they do not raise their voices, neither ask money, neither live sorrounder by family and friends like AH, neither punch the agresor, neither yell to the agressor saying u are a f...baby, I hit you, tell jhonny to the world u are a man who suffer DV.... no women who really suffer violence provoke in my experience. They walk on egg shells. AH sobs are so fake and exagerated, no tears, and later her speech looks arrogant and created, past days was laughing looking with hate and soberb like she feels like a queen She have more self steam that all court together.

I have sat here for a while contemplating whether or not to say anything and well here I am... I, myself am a real survivor of DV & SA and I was even kidnapped and taken to Mexico and tortured in every which way EVERY SINGLE DAY for 2yrs until I escaped. This all started at the age of 14 and I am 33 now. And you want to know the most fucked up part of it all? I was NEVER BELIEVED when I was r**ed. Even with evidence, I was told I didn't "act" like I was r**ed so therefore my r**ist was never charged. A month after that I was kidnapped. When I managed to escape. I was told I couldn't do a damn thing about it because I was dubbed a "runaway" instead and I was in a different country! Having gone through actual horrific and life-changing events which stay with you FOREVER, I am completely and utterly disgusted by this woman and her claims. This case has been both triggering and gut-wrenching. I have had to step away a few times, ESPECIALLY with AH testimony. Unless you have lived through these awful experiences ( which I wish upon no one) you cannot possibly understand the trauma, the pain, the humiliation, the triggers, the shame, the roller coaster of emotions that remain. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt because I know what it's like to be discredited and not believed but after hearing her fake-ass testimony and everything thus far, I am 10000% sure she is the abuser. I hope JD wins this case and if he doesn't, AH has shown her true colors in my personal opinion, and nothing she does or says at this points matter or is valid!

Okay, this is sticking to my brain: During the important recording when she says "See if people believe you" There's this part right before that, but after Depp has listed his injuries. Amber says "You can tell people it was a fair fight" and her tone is still very pleading. It's like she's asking Johnny to put it out there that the abuse was mutual. But then within a word, the tone completely changes, like she's gotten the lightbulb idea that mutual abuse sounds kinda crazy anyway. That when the tone turns mocking and cruel and ends with that famous line. That part really really sticks out to me, and maybe I'm reading it weird, but her begging negotiating tone flips right around there. I can already picture the closing argument like "Amber challenged Johnny to tell his story and see if anyone believed him. We have brought forth this evidence and we are asking you to believe him."

As a victim and survivor of DV, there is absolutely nothing funny about reliving that trauma. Those memories are often diminished by what I was feeling in the moment and I can tell you from experience, I don't remember every specific detail, only what led up to it and when I got hit. I find it very triggering to see how over animated she is at times and times where she is laughing or smiling. There are some days when I look at facial scars that I have from the abuse and completely break down. Memories make me angry and sad at the same time and I can tell you, it is THE most shameful thing to speak about. if she's lying, she'll have to deal with the possibility of it actually becoming a reality in her life, and I wouldn't wish what I've been through on anyone including my worst enemy. I hope that they both find help and healing for whatever trauma they've gone through. If she's lying, she is doing the biggest disservice to women and men like me and should be held accountable.

What AH gave us was an imprecise scattered character assassination of JD. A true IPV experience sounds like this... "It was Easter. I kissed Mom goodbye and was turning to go to my car when he swung around, picked me up off the ground by my neck and threw me 6 feet into my car. My throat started swelling up so fast I was gasping for breath. I didn't even notice that my shoulder was shattered. I just remember sitting on the ground gasping for air." A description of DV describes the violence on their body and how it felt, not a bunch of filler before-and-after details.

She seems to be overselling it, her story about her background was likable but then she kept going... and going. Her comment about "like we read in health class", throws me straight out of the narrative. Who wrote this script? (if we've learned anything with actors like Jessie Smollet actors shouldn't write their own scripts). Also if there are other witnesses/victims of JD like AH tells in her story the girl at the party or the flight attendant! Where the hell are they? Also if she got smacked in the face with a ringed hand that would leave a mark why did she didnt take a photo? She recorded everything else she could....

Great points. What also, was interesting to me is how she referenced health class verses her own home environment as a scale to measure rationally knowing better but still falling victim to environment. That was never conveyed from her as a child witnessing this abuse their whole life. The dots just dont connect all the way. Reading literature on these things and the symptoms which is what I think she has done doesnt mean no matter how well its written or describe that you will be able to portray it because you want this to be your story. As a person who comes from severe childhood abuse and other things. I just cant jump on her train. Seems like shes putting the mirroring of her diagnost personality disorders into practice. That doesn't mean I dont think Johnny at times to me was reacting to her. Whats damaging to him for me in the recordings is he compromises and accepts blame and doesn't really distinguish his part was different from hers. Its like his at some points when she spews long enough he lumps them together of being violent verses how he started with just pointing it out as her. I dont know if anyone has caught that switch as the recordings go on longer into the arguments.

And usually from experience abusers don't and won't let you leave until they are done. Even if you leave they harass your family call your friends and make it seems you are in danger or out of control and they dont know what got into you. It is not like her testimony when she describes several events being so violent. In those moments trying to visualize what she is saying. Things are chaotic, and usually you are cornered so you cant run or escape. You are usually left alone in the room where they assaulted you with your heart beating out of your chest, your thinking what to do to stay safe on case they aren't done and how fast can you get past them if they come at your again. Again we weren't there but its hard to connect what actually happened when she is talking because details that need to be there should and would be there for actual recall aren't. Yet details where she sneaks in self praise or innocence to build her character are inserted into descriptive parts of the fight. You just cant follow the connection of events through with a picture that makes sense. I hope this comment makes sense.

You learn to stay quiet especially once you learn their patterns. That doesnt mean you dont try at initial argument onset to stand up for yourself or you may initially think its just a conversation. But when you see the flip switch the tone in their voice change your get very still you almost dont breath hoping if you shrink enough they wont see you and you definitely dont want them to hear you. You are on constant alert and panic for mood changed by the way even their feet sound when they walk through the house. Its weird how the sounds they make throughout the house you know okay they wont hit today but yell. Your brain goes to I can handle that. But different sounds they make in approach you just know nothing will be said and im just going to get hit. Im saying all this because she makes it seem like it is all sporadic and out of nowhere. That this is Johnny pattern to know his pattern so well and describe it non specifically when asked about a specific date doesnt make sense. And two if you can describe a pattern you feel whats coming and youd be able to describe the anxiety felt the physical sensations in your body before the attack cause you know its coming before it happens so you are already physically in distress before you are even hit. And some times they dont hit you but smirk just by causing this effect in you. Or they ask you whats wrong? You ok? You scared im going to hit you? Im not going to hit you. Im done sorry need to take a breath. So sorry.

Pretty much they act like amber and the abused act like johnny just going based off the audio. Initially you point out what they did until you recognize they're going to snap again so you retreat and take the blame verbally or say things to appease them like it was both of us. Its just so triggering cause you cant hold them accountable and now you are on tape or your words are recorded in their memory from just one time of you saying "WE" .....because it was a safety measure and to take their offense in you down so they will just stop and you can have some peace. So now you've created a picture or image to people of mutual abuse once they choose to tell people what you said when most times it is a safety tactic and when its not its because they are so insistent that its you that they gaslight you into accepting and admitting you are also an abuser like them and its becomes we abuse each other.

If she is the victim and everyone sees her as the victim of this horrific abuse- then she will not look bad or have to lose her reputation. There's a tape that's been left out of evidence (probably because Jerry Judge is deceased) with JD, AH, Jerry, and Dr Kipper plus a nurse tending to JD's finger - it's recorded just after she took his finger off, and she's HEARD ADMITTING that it's her fault, that she's sorry, that she doesn't want to be sent back to LA, etc etc. BUT THE TAPE IS INADMISSIBLE IN COURT. WHY? It blows her entire testimony that he ever hurt her, and absolutely proves that she was responsible for JD's missing finger - and further proves that she was always the abuser. I’m a girl who has been called crazy before by men. I am guilty of love bombing, mood swings, physical violence (provoked and unprovoked), wreckless disregard for the feelings of those who declared love for me, and I’ve kicked a fair few of men while they were down. I was much nicer when I was drunk so I stayed that way most of the time. This was all in my late teens and early 20s. I was insane for a while then I decided to eat more carbs and I calmed down. My point is this, it took a long time for me to realize I had done anything wrong because I was told I was right by the women around me and had a shield of protection in my gender. I also knew what kind of men to pick who wouldn’t hit me back. I dated a lot of broken men and very few who felt they could not do better than a pretty, young, and educated girl with a future. I knew how to use that to my advantage like Ms.Heard. I don’t buy a single word out of this women’s mouth because game recognizes game. She expects people to believe she didn’t get into a relationship with Johnny because there was an exchange. Her beauty and youth for his status and connections. It’s a tale as old as time. I dated men twice my age at 22 as well it was because we liked the same books 😂. I hope the jury isn’t naive enough to let her off. But his tattoo still said Winona forever at that time, it wasn’t changed to wino forever until later on. Therefore he would have said the tattoo said Winona forever not wino. I thought there was a lot more that didn’t make sense, looked like fake reactions, went against what witnesses have already said, and she’s naming all these witnesses to what she said happens but from what I’ve seen so far it doesn’t look like any of these people will be showing up as witnesses for her. That first story just really stuck out to me with the tattoo saying what it says now and not what the tattoo said at the time of the incident.

One recording she tells Mr Deep Leaving during a argument makes things worse and i hate when you always do it i'll never leave we need to resolve this. Even one time calling him a cry baby during the argument for always running away , In her Medical notes to the Dr she stated '' i would rather physical violence then to have a unresolved argument so could never leave before it's finished as i have separation issues so it makes me lash out physically '' . Yet today during her testimony under oath Miss heard claims she left many times during a argument so that's 100% a obvious lie on the stand. Shannon (Creepshow Art) lied about her stalking story and actually tried to ruin Emily Artful's life (the person who was actually the one being stalked for years).

Funny you mention Shannon here. I was thinking for a long time, that in one of the tapes AH reminds me strongly of someone, only last week it clicked. That tape, when "I don't know what the [inaudible] motion of my actual hand was, but you're fine, I did not hurt you, I did not punch you" that first bitcespeciakly, it's so Creepshow way of wording imo

How does a victime of DV AND SA buys a knife to her abuser? Begs the man she was afraid would kill her to come see her after she filed a TRO? Goes the morning after she says he beat her violently to Coachella and does drugs and dance with NOT ONE INJURY on her? Saying she didnt write the title of the OP ED about SA and didnt claim it yet the one thing that hurt her the most was people not believing that she was S A ed? how can a victim record SECRETLY EVERYTHING about her abuser's drug problems BUT NOT ONE RECORDING VIDEO TEXT EMAIL of him admitting to ever touching her? The therapits her nurse who saw her everyday the concierge of the building the camera of the elevator the photos she took at Coachella the day after the people living on the same floor as her THE COPS SHE CALLED THE COP'S BODYCAM not one person or thing seeing or capturing one injury on her??? Only two best friends who lived for years rent free in jhonny's penthouses saying she was abused ? Her mom saying she was abused when she texted jhonny after the TRO apologizing to him saying she loves him and that amber was forced buy her lawyers to do that so that she can stay longer in the Penthouse ?Only evidence of DV is HER own Words and pictures she took herself? And on the other hand her abuser's having HER ON AUDIO admitting to starting physical fights HITTING him insulting him having pictures of real violent injuries not taking by him? People on audio saying she cut his finger? How can the insults be called verbal abuse if she was doing the same calling him the worst insults ? Demanding 14million dollars tax free? And the most horrific is going on tv saying proudly all the money was given to charrities and LIYING about it ? Him not having ONE of his exes or wife saying he's violent and her being arrested for DV in her previous marriage ? MAKE IT MAKE SENS HELP

Just the fact that she went to Coachella. She wouldn't have gone if he was as controlling as she wants us to believe. If he actually was, she would've known how much shit she would have to endure upon return from Coachella that she likely wouldn't have gone very many places. And definitely not with the confidence she had everywhere she went

🚨🚨🚨🚨IMPORTANT QUESTION: After Amber mentioned Kate Moss and the stairs, Ben Chew turned to the other lawyers and made a "got it" fist. Is this maybe about not being allowed to bring up exes but now that she's mentioned his past relationship, Depps team can bring up Tasha and her domestic abuse charge against Amber??????🚨🚨

It is AUDACIOUS to me that AH could have had something to "gain" from reporting alleged abuse. Many victims do NOT report abuse because they will only LOSE by doing so. They'll be discredited, shrugged off, or shunned. The audacity of AH and the people who planned the op-ed with her.

That is why Heard - when her friends called the police - refused to cooperate with the LAPD. Her lawyer made her take out a TRO so she could change the locks. Even her mother said that in an email to Depp. She rescinded the TRO when Depp asked threatening to cut himself with a knife and then accepted a NDA as part of the divorce. She took nothing from her marriage (taxes owed by Heard were for community property that Heard didn't keep and wouldn't have lived in if she hadn't been married to Depp) and was well down the road to donating the marriage sum over the 10 year period when she was involved in a libel suit in the UK which nearly bankrupted her. She had kept her head down until a hideous journalist in the UK, Dan Wootton used her for a punching bag in a spat with JK Rowlings and Rupert Murdoch who owned the paper. As the Op Ed said she was caught between powerful men. Heard has only lost from this. Depp was making money for a full two years after they split until Rupert Murdoch decided to fix Depp's wagon.

Yes, I too loved Ben King the British Butler/House Mgr. Really loved him describing Amber's remarks as sounding like a 'spoiled teenager'....'is that fair?' He was very honest, and precise, and a valuable contribution to the witness group. Poor guy! Look at all he has done for them, simply because he was engaged for services in two movie location sites. I'm sure he's quite happy to have a regular, wealthy F.T. client for his current engagement.

I'm not a person who gets "triggered" by much. However, listening to her recount her "abuse" made me physically uncomfortable. I've been thru extreme and minimal abuse and there is no way in hell a true abuse victim recalls and recounts in such ways.

The saddest part of this trial is she may win even though 90% of the people believe she's a liar. If just one juror believes her, she wins. This where I think our judicial system is flawed.

Also- I have super chatted this to you but bc you got so many I don’t think you saw it- I find it VERY hard to believe that in all of the recordings that she did- both Audio and video- NEVER one time any of this horrific abuse was ever caught?!?! How is that possible?!? There are hundreds of hours- you don’t think she would whip out her laptop or phone to catch him doing these awful things?!? Make it make sense. I wish they would ask her that to be honest

Honestly I went into this not having a real opinion on who defamed who. I thought perhaps they were both just blowing things out of proportion. However listening to things I am inclined to believe Amber was the main instigator and Johnny's actions were mostly reactionary. Be they from behavior she displayed in front of him or what she wanted him to believe while she was away. Was this relationship toxic? Yes. Was it mutually abusive? Yes. Was the main abuser Johnny? No. I don't think he was.

As a survivor of both DV and SA, I was unpleasantly surprised by how triggering listening to her testimony was for me. Emily, thank you for providing such great insight and clarity regarding this trial. I'm happy I found you after wading through all of the Johnny-biased armchair lawyers and psychologists on social media (and I say that as someone who leans in Johnny's corner at this point). It's refreshing to hear a non-biased analysis of both sides' strategy, and not constant Amber and Amber lawyer-bashing (who are just there to do a job, after all).

I'm worried the public opinion is going to drastically shift now that it's Amber's turn. She knows she has lost everything, she hired a new PR team because she knows how hated she is and I think she is capable of completely lying under oath. I obviously see this was a insanely toxic relationship and had THAT BEEN what she accused Johnny of, of being toxic or verbally abusive even, of being intense and weird, sure, I can see that, but she didn't. She accused him of physically abusing her so much that she had to run to the future and buy a color corrector that wouldn't be released for several years.

Just finished watching Heard testimony. One thing that really stuck out to me is how different her speech and recollection is describing childhood, how they met and first hooked up and things related to her career vs when she has to discuss her allegations against Depp. And not in a way favourable to her. It just doesn't come across to me that these allegations actually happened, at least not the way she wants to portray.
