A good solid medium range restaurant specializing in beef and other red meats which are excellently prepared. But they also serve fish although it is not prepared to quite the same standards as the red meats. Excellent salads but a little thin on vegetables, at least on the dishes we enjoyed. The zesty lemon tarts filled with piquant lemon sorbet were to die for. A reasonable selection of wines - I would recommend that you allow the sommelier to help you with your choices.
All served in the most delightful, modern arboretum with a glass vaulted ceiling that opens in nice weather giving an indoor/outdoor experience. Very modern decor that is balanced with the textures of some of the old stone walls and a traditional Provencal fountain adorned with art glass from which the waters flows and drops. Makes a nice backdrop to the sound of gastronomic indulgence and background music.
A good place to enjoy a good meal in peasant surroundings. The only caveat is to choose your dishes wisely based on your particular taste in food. And a last note: parking in the old town with its narrow, one way streets and limited parking can be a nightmare. It is recommended that you find a public car park as close to the restaurant as possible and walk. Even in June we had a hard time finding a parking place nearby.
