It's a tough question the originality of patterns, I'm trying to learn to distinguish between just copying someone's interpretation or using a common data out of old magazines which once were publishing someone's original ideas. The fact that another designer uses them as well has nothing to do with me. Seriously there are parts of common heritage nobody can't actually own.

It can be tricky! I rely on my own inspiration. Even if my pattern is super simple and there are others out there that look similar… my writing style, photos, videos, and support are my own!

Hello, you mention using Crochet land app but it no longer exists. What do you use now or what would you recommend? Thank you!

Hi maa’m i have a question regarding crochet pattern design. For example i sketched a dress and crocheted it and wrote the pattern. But stitches i used is HDC will this dress pattern design will be mine?

Most crochet stitches are not trademarked, including hdc, so yes you can absolutely sell that pattern as your own! If a stitch is trademarked, the source of it will say so in the document somewhere. Like a website, digital pattern, KZitem tutorial, book etc. Don't confuse a finished PATTERN which includes shapes, design elements, finished items etc with STITCH PATTERNS. I hope that makes sense 😊

I just purchased your pattern template from your blog. It was a smooth process. I opened the pattern template and it was so easy to click on the edit in Canva link and there it was ready to make my own. Wow!! Maybe now I will be more inspired to get some ideas into patterns. Thanks for a great tutorial and all your help.😁
