Great video bro! Usually people just show their wheelie progression without saying one word and for you to talk your through it is better to me.🤟🏾

I remember the day I understood the "secret" behind it, I instantly started wheeling at least 20 feet. I was struggling just like the man in the video for about 3 months after I bought my first big ripper (2017 public enemy). I somehow just noticed the shape of the brake lever, realized I was doing it wrong the whole time so instead of putting my finger in the middle of the lever I started putting it at the very end which gives way more leverage. After a few pops the feeling started to come, I started to understand how to combine the pressure applied to the pedals and the delicate rubbing of the brakes on the rim from the lever in order to keep balance for long distances. Very sweet memory. Edit: It's really about understanding how the wheelie "behaves". Most beginners (including my ex beginner self) think you TAP on the brake lever in order to keep balance and that's WRONG. You have to apply the right amount of pressure onto the lever to make the brake pads RUB on to the rim which is going to keep you from falling backwards thus balanced. If you TAP, you are most likely dropping your wheel.

Brother buy a c100 I’m 40 and I learned in less than a year but you have to do it consistently a little bit each day I would say 40-60 minutes almost every day don’t burn yourself its more like practice a skill than a athetic ability but you have to buy a good bike the rear break its key and if you don’t have a good bike its useless its was also a very big dream of mine and Im very glad I acheviet people think I’m immature I don’t care it makes me happy honestly, best of luck 47 its not old and remember its a skill not conditioning like running a marathon or so, all the best and justo go for it!

It’s well easy we was popping wheelies on our old Raleigh bikes at about 10 years old I’m 34 now can go as far as I want on my mtb on tarmac as far as my legs can handle. It’s about finding the balance point if your good enough you won’t even need to use the back brake it’s really not hard just takes practice also it’s a lot easier to practice up-hill.

Dont stop having that dream mate. Just go for it, little by little, let every little success be your motivation until you got it down. And stay in your own scope, dont be mad that you are not able to swerve like some of those kids. At the end of the day, you will be happy that you kept going, trust me.

If you want to get better at doing wheelies dont start slow. You dont want to go fast but you also dont want to go slow. You also have to learn to fall. (When you pull back too hard and fall back you have to jump off the pedals to land on your feet.) It sounds weird but if you learn to fall it will be way easier to find the balance point. Once you find your balance point that's when you have to learn to use your brakes in a wheelie. If you go farther than your balance point (backward) thats when you tap the brake. The brakes will help you center the bike. If your in the balance point and your front wheel goes down all you have to do to get back in your balance point is pedal. Hope this helps you on your journey. :)

Good vid thanks for sharing. Just got a Mega Quad 29 and at 51 years old am learning just like you in the vid. I do see some serious success traits in you! The positive self talk is amazing, well played. The goal setting is important and perfect practice makes perfect. Those traits will allow you to win not only in wheeling but in life as well! Anxious to view your other vids!
