Wish you were my professor. My genetics professor "teaches" in class and gives completely alien questions in exams. Thank you for teaching so well!

Sorry, but I'll have to say my prof is the best because instead of teaching by himself he streams your youtube videos during class hours. Am really thankful to him for that.

In reference to the epistasis section on Labrador coat color, even though we only talk about coat color here, I think most people would agree that all three "types" of labs show distinct facial features which distinguish them from each other. This sort of gets to the "species" debate in a similar way but at the level of breed. At what point are we talking about a different breed? There seems to be more gene expression variation among the three so that we could tell them apart independent of coat color. Is this differential gene expression also due to epistasis? Maybe there is a lot to unpack there and trending away from the topic but it seems like there is more going on between these three lab types than coat color yet we still call them the same breed. How much does epistais play a role in that?

Would it differ between a person who has a homozygous genotype for A blood type from the heterozygous for the same blood type? In another way, is always the amount of proteins produced make difference? Thanks in advance.

Hi Thomas, 37:49 was just talking to a friend about peppers... Most of the internet says it is due to the degree of ripeness and not due to genes? I was trying to find research on this but couldn't find any, would be really helpful if you can share any papers on this... and if it is due to ripeness, is it an interaction between genes and the environment?
