This Lemon Bread is a flavoful bread, super easy to make, great for breakfast time or for coffee/tea break.
Note : I am using whole wheat all purpose flour not the atta which we use to make roti.
Ingredients
1 3/4 cups (220g) whole wheat all purpose flour
2 tsp (8g) baking powder
1/2 walnuts (60g)
2 tsp lemon juice
3/4 cup (150g) sugar
1 eggs
1 cup milk (240 ml)
1/4 oil (60ml)
1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C). Grease and dust with flour 8 1/4" 21 cm loaf pan .
2. In a medium bowl add milk,oil,egg and lemon juice. mix it well then set aside until ready to use.
3. In a large bowl sift whole wheat flour and baking powder together then add sugar and mix well .
4. Add milk mixture in two steps and mix it well. Lastly add chopped walnuts,mix until combined.Pour the mixture into the prepared pan.
5. Bake at 350F (180C) for about 45-50 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
6. Let it cool completely before serving.
