hey, thanks! not sure what you would consider as budget friendly, i highly recommend hmx hyacinth (v2u, since i only tried this specific version, but i'm sure they all sound great) and hmx swift, on unikeys they cost 28eur for 70pcs, 21eur if you go for 60pcs, even more cheaper if you use my code.

What makes this a budget keyboard what does the other keyboards have over this? And why are they so expensive
@RandomPerson-wy5pn

Someone feel free to correct me as im not that deep into the hobby but from my understanding this is fairly budget because of things like how it has an aluminum case, a nice sound profile out the box, and a quick response time for gaming. I have a ducky one 3 mini which costs around 200 CAD new and I modded it with new switches, tape mod, foam, bandaid mod and holee mod just to get it to sound as close to this type of sound. Also, that keyboard has a slower response time and is fully plastic. So in comparison this keyboard has a lot going for it at half the price. You will be totally fine buying either the barebones kit with no switches and keycaps, or the pre-built, as it has a great sound with most switches you throw at it. I hope this helps :))

the hi75 has a history of bad support and bad software, on top of it being "the tiktok board", i wouldnt recommend it over other budget options like monsgeek or keychron, however if you're willing to take the chance it is a good sounding board
@Kelsobunny

As a tech girlie i appreciate the info!
@ricecloud
5 ай бұрын
bad support? could you elaborate this? i didn't check out their software, but tbh i wouldn't have expected anything fancy considering it's a budget board. i agree that monsgeek is good alternative, but totally disagree with keychron, their keyboards are way too expensive, value wise. i own two of their boards and they sound very mid, even after mods. the only reason i see getting a keychron board might be that they have a good selection of ISO boards, which is not that well supported by other brands. if you want a good sounding board right out of the box, then the hi75 is the way to go, unless you don't like how it looks, which i can relate to. also, what do you mean by "the tiktok board"? to me, it sounds like that it went viral on tiktok. if that's the case then what is bad about that? i have seen this board everywhere, mostly on instagram
@soniak4728
5 ай бұрын
@@ricecloud Bad support as in there is an unlikely chance if you run into a problem with your board (pcb malfunction, etc) you'll get a replacement/compensation/help Monsgeek and Keychron budget boards offer QMK/Via support so its already a step up, on top of the room for customization (many foams, plate options, etc), and the monsgeek M-series is an aluminum board On that Keychron thing, their V and V-Max lines (Max especially) I would argue is very good value for a budget board, and budget is $59-$100 ($47 on their V line with their Spring Sale right now!) they have QMK/Via, gaskets, tri-mode on the Max line, Mac and Windows support, and whatever i mentioned before. Also yeah what you mentioned, ISO support is pretty cool. Are the boards you own from the V line? Probably doesn't sound the best cause the stock version comes with an aluminum plate and you have to buy PC and other plates separate, but tbh it could totally just be a preference thing! With my experience of their Q line boards (not budget lol) they sound great, and with mods. Again, totally could just be different sound preferences. By "the tiktok board" i just mean, its usually a board that is hyped up on social media, such as tiktok and instagram, that might be underwhelming (but still good at least) after purchase. Mainly the bad thing about boards like the Hi75 is what i mentioned before, plus the fact theres an Epomaker version people might by, and with Epomakers horrible history does not seem like a good financial decision LOL BTW, in no way did i comment as hate! I love your videos and they've taught me a lot about this hobby, I look forward to them a lot :) Just thought I should share this stuff to give people a heads up before purchasing. But, like I said, if you don't care about fancy stuff like software and are willling to take the chance, it could totally turn out to be a board that satisfies you

I’d recommend looking at boards in the $60-80 range. Yes, it’s a lot for a keyboard, but so many keyboards in that price range come with a lot of bang for your buck. I was skeptical before I tried one, but getting an aluminum or high quality plastic budget board is totally different than a regular Logitech keyboard. Along with the Leobog there’s the Aula F75 and Yunzii AL66 or AL71 - all of them have great sound and come prebuilt, plus they are regularly on sale for 5-25% off on Amazon.
