Wonderfully honest and informative video, Kelly,, thank you for sharing that. My surgeon told me that knee rehab was tough and I can now see why I was so sore and my knee is still settling down after 8 months. Keep at it Kelly you are doing great.

Kelly thanks for sharing your personal journey here. It is so unbelievably powerful to have someone with your knowledge base be able to analyze this process and give us accurate insights on how to conceptualize this and improve it moving forward for other people as well. I am wondering if you think that sometimes these orthopedic surgeons during knee replacement for example are too brutal with the movement of the joint and tissues and whether or not they should use a little bit more “finesse “while manipulating the tissues into different locations.

This is a good example that “mobility” exercises actually harm you in the long run. Your great mobility practice did not allow your body to feel the actual trauma that had been and was being inflicted. You need much more isometric and low force producing exercises (swimming vs running).

Hey Kelly - thank you so much for sharing your knee replacement journey! I had a total knee five years ago and am about to have another. I just bought an h-wave and I want to talk to my surgeon about using it immediately post-surgery. Do you have a written protocol I can give him?

Kelly, how long was it before it felt like your knee was fairly normal and you forgot about it? Did you have a lot of stiffness post op for a while?
