Also, thank you for being honest about applying to be an affiliate for them, that shows integrity and keeping it real. I think some people do it just to get free stuff and then don’t properly test it, which isn’t helpful at all and not realistic. I look forward to the carry review buddy!

I appreciate this a lot and am glad the message came across about the affiliate thing! I've applied for a few, and I've had a few companies reach out too. But my personal philosophy is that I don't want to put anything on the channel that I wouldn't buy/use myself, just like I wouldn't recommend something to friends or family if I honestly thought it was crap. I mean, free stuff *is* cool, and opening packages *is* fun! But, to sound cliché, I'm not gonna sell out just for a few shinnies. I try not to take myself to seriously, and part of that is being honest about whatever I'm doing.

I have looked at the Lever gear stuff and it looks like good quality stuff. I have used an Incharge 6 charging cable for over a year and have found it works very well. The issue, like you showed, is that with such a short cable, you have to get a little creative with charging things. I’ve looked at the different tool cards as well but can’t really justify it, for my needs. I think that’s an excellent idea to carry those items for a month or so and then report back on how useful they are and how often you actually used them. As usual, excellent video and thank you!

The quality is solid right out of the box. I'll beat it up for a month then report back, but it all feels pretty good. The cable kit is honestly I think my biggest hurdle. Love my cable card for the length, but I really like the idea of this easy backup/minimal carry. I've been finding myself even just going down to a small fanny/sling a lot of days, so it'll be useful for those lite days. The card stands out right away just for having the removable clip. I don't buy using JUST this as a primary took for building a bike or whatever videos show. But, I absolutely can see it for opening boxes, scraping labels, or taking care of an errant screw. I don't do a lot of drafting (like this seems to be geared toward as well), but overall it does seem to have a better set up than most card out there. Thanks for checking it out!

@@ConansEasyDadCarry I think once you try the cable kit a few times you will like it. Much more compact and easier to carry, imho. I’m with you on the Fanny packs/sling bags, they are just much handier and lower profile than a backpack. Personally, I’ve been carrying a Maxpedition Remora for a number of months and I’ve found that, for me, to be almost ideal. I did just buy a small adjustable water bottle holder to attach to it to carry my water.

@@michaelnasser8697 Still testing it, and I have a few thoughts- but I dig it so far! I'll have to check out the Remora. Always like a good sling/fanny. I actually might get a few more (Non neon 😅) water bottle slings and test them with my other carries too. Thanks again man- you have great insights!

The lever gear card is actually very nice. It's the only thing I take when I go roller skating. I can fix my wheels with it, and open a cool beverage when I'm done ;) Holds cash too :) I use a [generic brand] retractable micro USB 4 ft cord, with a small micro-to-USB-C adapter. I don't use Apple products, so that's all I need. You're right. A short cable won't help you when there's an outlet in the wall and no furniture to lift the device high enough. And that is a common scenario!

Thanks for checking it out! I've used the card a couple times now, so it's still "in review", but so far I dig it. Cool to hear some feedback! The retractable ones never seemed to work out too great for me, but it's been a few years since I tried one. Sounds like it would be worth a second look- especially knowing the ease of use and space saving they provide. This little guy is definitely a back up or a desk use cord, but that's not a sin in itself per say. Limited doesn't mean worthless... but I can see where *only* having this would be awkward

Having a short cable isn’t an issue if you carry a portable battery and recharge your phone with it. At least that’s what I do. I use a regular sized cable at home or in my car

Great video. I've had one of those levergear charging kits for years, and i haven't carried it for some time now. I might try carrying it again for a bit. But I've never understood why people like those Sim card ejector tools so much when a paperclip is infinitely more useful and takes up about the same amount of space. Personally, I wear a watch with a nato strap and have 1 or 2 plastic coated paperclips attached underneath my watch. The band doubles up in that area, so the clips don't touch my wrist. The plastic coated clips give a bit more versatility than standard paperclips. I've got an idea about the extension. Not technically an extension, but you could pick up one of those 1/4" bit to 4mm bit adapters. Carrying 4mm bits could get you some additional space, too. Still not sold on the tool cards. I've tried a couple, but always felt like they're just heavy and clunky. They seem more like pocket jewelery than functional tools to me.

Thanks for checking this out and the thought on the comment! I like the idea of the paperclips! I carry them in my edc kits, but this is just nice to have in the backup as just kind of a gimme. I agree with you, but I get it too 😆 I actually played with some 4mm bits and thought about it, but I dont want to overload the Vault, and I like the full feel of the 1/4" bits. But that may change too! The card I'm liking so far. Definitely has more of an edc feel than a lot. I think the main failure of a lot of the cards is they have a 50/50 edc and "survival" focus. I don't ne3d half the crap on a survival card in my day to day. But an actual pry bar corner and scraper is pretty cool. The big appeal of *also* being a money and card clip is what makes it worth trying or carrying for me. Otherwise, yeah, pocket jewelry is a good way to put it 😂

Really need to check out the Bit Vault, every time I see one I think 'how cool' haha. I have a couple of the cable kit and they hold up pretty well, I accidentally dropped one in a glass of water and after letting it dry out for several days it works fine and I'm not even sure which is the one I dropped in water vs the one I didn't. Thanks for sharing!
