I just bought this for home recording and voice over material. If I fair out well with this one, im definitely getting the 440 shortly afterwards.

What mic would you recommend for an untreated noisy room? I am a recording artist

In general, all condenser mics will be sensitive to untreated rooms. Therefore I always recommend either acoustic treatment or using noise reduction plugins such as the Waves NS1 (Noise Suppressor) which is actually what I use here on the channel (including this video). But to answer your question, if you don’t want to go that route, then I would go for a dynamic microphone. My top picks are the following: Shure SM57 ($99): www.amazon.com/dp/B0000AQRST/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_VB9SABPBGGE9XC2KXM7K?linkCode=ml2&tag=homestudioaca-20 Rode Podmic USB ($199): amzn.to/49w5SYB Shure SM7DB $499 www.amazon.com/dp/B0CCSVYWMH/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_SRXVCNTKJB5105M047KY?linkCode=ml2&tag=homestudioaca-20 Also here are some reviews that might help you: Shure SM7DB vs Rode NT1: Which Mic Should You Buy? kzitem.info/news/bejne/l26Ytad_epimZ6g Shure SM7DB Review: A NEW And IMPROVED SM7B! kzitem.info/news/bejne/rpBjnXmpjZOCoaQ Dynamic vs Condenser Mics: Which Should You Buy? kzitem.info/news/bejne/1numl5h8pqlpeJw Hope it helps! 😊

@@homestudioacademy thank you so much for this! Do you think the SM7b is worth it or would you go for the SM7DB? I know for the SM7b many say it needs a cloudlifter
@homestudioacademy

@@kabalarsenal you’re very welcome 😊 it depends. The SM7B requires around 60db of gain to power it so if your audio interface can provide that, then no. If not, or if your having to crank you preamp gain all the way, then the SM7DB is worth the investment because the built in booster will minimize the input gain.

I use a SM57 with a pop filter. My SE se7s deal with the untreated room part (echo etc) but they still hear mice licking their paws two apartments away.

@@mikebauer6917 really? The SM57 is a dynamic so I would think it would pick up less room noise. To be fair, since the LCT240 has a smaller capsule it picks up less noise than the LCT 440 Pure in my testing.

Hello! Do you know if by chance an adapter for the microphone arm is included in the package? Or do you have to buy it separately? I have an elgato boom arm LP (The small one has the attack, I think for 3/8, While the Rode should have 5/8. I have no adapters so before I arrive I should buy it in case ... thanks!
