Irony...I am a retired US Army Combat Sergeant, I served OIF5 and OIF6 in Ramadi, Iraq and a lifelong Christian. So my opinion of his lifestyle is well, we all know what it is. God blesses who He will with His talent. I love this man!! I believe that, for whatever reason, God poured out a double portion of love in this mans heart. If I see this man in Heaven, I will hug the crap out of him. I mean...I will shake his hand. Makes me tear up when I see the power of God come through his hands.

Liberace's brilliance lies in part in his ability to integrate seemingly disparate musical ideas into a seamless whole - in his hands, the medley becomes'concerto" in a style reminiscent of Liszt. Lee, (with, of course, a nod and a wink!) is just having "fun", but all the glitter and fantasy mask someone who was, in my opinion, a great musician - just wish he could bring back his "magic" to Vegas!

In my CD collection I have an original recording of Rachmaninov playing the piano. I was struck whilst listening to this video of the similarity between the two players in that the runs both up and down the keyboard (always defeats me!) were executed with unfailing precision each and every time. Behind the mirrors and furs lay a superbly naturally gifted musician with an ear for arranging and then playing the most beautiful music. A true craftsman.

Absolute Genius and Brilliance. "Send in the Clowns" is tragic and bittersweet and heartbreaking, yet such a gorgeous piece. Liberace was always worried about his audience finding out about his sexuality, when in reality they all knew and could have cared less. They wanted and demanded the furs, and the mirrored limos and the costume changes and corlky jokes. And he always left them screaming for more. The Ultimate Showman.
