Super cool! your mannequin is like a Pink Floyd/ Gort robot from the day the earth stood still mashup. Could the face be illuminated from within?

Thanks John! Its a solid black plastic so no real way to illuminate it from the inside out, without destruction.

So I'm new to all this, is there a specific lens filter that can help with long exposure shots when light painting?

Hey Ken welcome to the world of Light Painting, be careful it is really addicting! There really isn't a technical need for any type of lens filter. The only "help" a filter might give you is in a specific case where for instance you have a lot of ambient light, then something like an ND filter could help a bit. Creativity wise there are all kinds of filters that can create interesting effects from refractions to rainbows but 95% of the time I personally do not use any sort of lens filter unless I am going after some sort of special effect.

Thank you for the comment and for the support with getting those tools! Those mini plexi's work great for Light Painting Portraits and for light writing too! Hope you love them!

How many lumens is the portrait light?
@LightPaintingPhotography
3 жыл бұрын
The Portrait Light is a Light Modifier like all the other Light Painting Brushes attachments. It is connected to a Flashlight via the Universal Connector, so the lumen output of the Portrait Light varies depending on what flashlight you use. I generally use a 1000 lumen light when I am using the Portrait Light Attachment!

@@LightPaintingPhotography Did not know that. Thanks. Unlike so many other channels, you actually answer questions left by viewers. Keep up the good work 🤟😎
