Couldn't agree more. Honestly, if there is a 27" QD-OLED, 120Hz, this LG panel or similar, capable of 500 nits across the whole display, and no burn-in for $500, they would make so much money by just selling so many of them. That's the dream. Also, I think a really important spec that no one talks about on desktop monitors is ppi. I wish they told us about that too. 4:07 Weird explanation of image persistence. AFAIK it's more about having an object in the image stay still for a while (16.6667 ms at 60 Hz, for example) then suddenly changing to another position without a transition. It makes it seem like a stationary thing made a sudden jump elsewhere. For whatever reason the human brain picks up on that a lot more than it does if you quickly flash an image in one position, have an interval of black, then flash it again in another position. I guess some portion of the image processing in the brain thinks the thing moved during the black interval, and smooths it over. EDIT: Could also be related to the phenomenon where when you're riding a bike and looking at the pattern of the tyre it's all a blur, but if you blink your eyes you can get quite detailed snapshots of it. EDIT2: Also also there are huge differences in perceived motion clarity depending on where your eyes are focusing. Like if I do the Blur Busters UFO test on a 120 Hz screen, and I look directly at the UFOs and follow them with my eyes, the 120 Hz one is by far the clearest, the 60 Hz one is blurry, and the 30 Hz one is REALLY blurry. BUT if I look at the numbers below and don't follow the UFOs with my eyes, the 30 Hz ones are perfectly clear, can see the individual stars and all, the motion is just juddery as heck. You can see the same effect on the video, where if you take a still from when the camera is stationary, the 60 FPS row is clearer than the 480 FPS row, but with a tracking shot it's the opposite.

240Hz with BFI isn’t going to look sharper on testufo than 480Hz without BFI… the persistence is 1/480 s regardless. BFI would be helpful for content at lower frame rates. But testufo runs at 480fps.

Nice a good heat sink but I’m still going to use the OLED screen, care program because I’m not risking getting my screen f**ked up in any kind of way the biggest scariest thing is burning 🔥

That first monitor is sick. I would love to have it. You know a monitor is amazing when it looks amazing on my end through the video. The issue is me telling my wife i only spent 900 dollars when it was 999 is one thing. 1300 isn't going to happen. even if I say 1200. She is going to say.. Its a monitor not a tv. Hopefully the price comes down a little

That 32" monitor is the end game! Can anyone confirm if it is glossy?
@Shadowsmoke11

The Tech Chap confirmed that it’s using a glossy coating. Probably similar coating like the Alienware 32” use.

Okay, there's not really any point to that many Hz but that's still really impressive lol. If the long monitor on an arm doesn't have the option to be turned vertical, it's not a good value.

There's a point to that many Hz for competitive FPSs. Very very small point but still a point.

The only way youre getting 4k 240hz is with display stream compression which no one seems to be mentioning.

Been a console gamer for over a decade and want to make the switch to PC. saw some good reviews for the CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme Gaming PC (Intel Core I5 13400F/1TB SSD/16GB RAM/GeForce RTX4060). At around 1500 CAD (1120 USD). Is this a good starter prebuilt? and are the specs good enough to run most games at a good rate? thanks

Wait until there's monitors out with DP 2.1, which won't limit you to 4k 120Hz like DP 1.4 does

I have the xeneon flex, it's a good in between, with high refresh rate and medium resolution, so I might get the dual mode so I can also have real fast refresh rate and also have an option for high resolution with high refresh rate. So I have the best of all worlds.

Can kind of tell this is ASUS sponsored and they are hanging out behind the camera. In the past LTT has slammed these large format Ultrawides for their low PPI. At the end it’s touted as one of the most beautiful displays and customers don’t want to compromise on their image quality yet here’s one doing that with it’s super awesome sub 100 PPI. When you gain the ability to count pixels without much effort then I don’t think it’s a monitor to celebrate
