Absolutely, - Paul Barrere (guitar, vocals), Sam Clayton (percussion), Bill Payne (piano and organ) O'Grady (bass), Richie Hayward (drums), Lowell (slide guitar and vocals) and the whole damn bad are way beyond deserving. In the 1970's we all saw them and just went - WOW, what planet did they come here from!! Bravo!

At the sudden news of Paul's passing this morning, this 1977 performance becomes an all the more poignant remembrance. Paul credited his dad with the line in the song, "You know that you're over the hill / When your mind makes a promise your body can't fill." He enjoyed a sense of humor. I played on sessions with Paul and with Kenny for Warner's and W/E/A in the '70s, and the funk just dripped from their bones. Sail on, my friend.
