I'm getting sick of these kids all saying 'my team would destroy these kids' and stuff like that. These kids are playing great ball for there age. It's also really easy to say how good you are from behind your keyboard. They are proving it on TV.

Middle-school versus 9~11/12 year old; School league games versus the LLWS. Still not seeing how it would be "routine". They performed well and did something that will give them memories for a lifetime. Give them credit where it's due.

Kids that rock in High school baseball went through this too. If theyre good on a small field, there is a high chance they will be good on a big field too as soon as they adapt.

this is to all of you club ball or select players who think ur competition is better - just remember that these little league world series games are played in front of more fans in one game than u play in front of ur whole season. for example they average 8-10 thousand a game and 40000 on the championship series. so u can keep playing on ur *select* teams in front of 50 people and i'll watch and coach in front of these crowds

and they are still played on a field that is half the size of what all the select kids are playing on at their age. My brothers former team was a team of all 13 year olds playing up at 14u (60X90 real baseball field) and in one of their world series earlier this year they played the mexico team that won the LLWS two years ago twice and the smoked the mexico team both times 10-2 and 9-0. Mexico finished last out of 56 teams in their age group and division.

I don't care how old you are. If you played little league when you were a kid you played the same dimensions 46 feet, 60 foot bases. If anything your fences were shorter than 200 feet before aluminum bats. Some other leagues do play 50 foot and 70 foot bases at 12U. There may have been a pitcher or 2 in history that threw 80 in LL, but not you. Only real change to LL in the last 50 years was moving the age cutoff from Aug to May1 allowing some kids to play an extra year.

I've been an umpire for 5 years now and call everything from 9u to high school level baseball. I don't call little league shit ball either. And I see 1 year olds throw well over 60 on a field much bigger than the one little league uses for their 12 year olds. Also the kids playing in the llws are as i stated before only getting to the 60s because they are on a tiny field.

no they don't. major league scouts and top college scouts go to college showcase tournaments and to big travel team world series to do the majority of their scouting. if they looked at varsity teams people like Zach Lee would never have a chance because the publicity just wouldn't be there. his high school team never got through the 2nd round of state playoffs when he was there but he was recruited through his travel team and ended up as a first round pick with a 5 million plus signing bonus.
