I love that book Goodbye Auto-immune. As a type 2 diabetic for 2.5 decades, this book plus these YT vids are VERY helpful and validate that the green smoothies/water hydration I'm doing works...even if I add raw salads or the occasional piece of fruit...going into this for 3 weeks has kept my glucose readings within NORMAL range...yay! even before I take my meds in the a.m. and before I go to sleep at night...the energy is steady.....the overall feeling better...don't feel any itchy eyes or skin due to food sensitivities (no more dairy or meat)...I'm into the vegan lifestyle now and while it was a shift (especially no longer eating cheese/dairy products) it makes SUCH a diff...my skin is glowing (it wasn't bad before but it was sensitive to certain foods like dairy)...and trying vegan recipes like the avocado-basil-mint pesto is fabulous to use over my mixed greens. Dr. G is the best!

If you ask doctors they would respond like mine: you can’t give up your steak! And he is a functional medicine doctor… fortunately I am stubborn and I did whatever I felt would possibly work for me after doing intensive researches about wfpb diet and green smoothies. After only two months of this, I went to stage 3 kidney disease to stage 0. My nephrologist said it was incurable and irreversible! Well i reversed it after 10 days and then cured it. So do your research carefully because regular doctors and even specialists, they know absolutely nothing about nutrition

26:00 eating every 2 hours really messed my liver up (serious liver area pain and fatty liver symptoms - and I developed insulin resistance symptoms too). My skin started thinning into crepe skin and my muscles wasted away quickly among a host of other symptoms. I got that eating protocol from Medical Medium for adrenal fatigue, and while I think it worked for that, it really hurt my body in these other ways. I was doing lots of carbs and fruit as per the MM protocol every few hours.. I also did 3 of his 369 liver cleanses back to back, and the first 2 went fine more or less, but by the end of the 3rd one my liver was really hurting almost to the point of requiring a hospital visit. And no its not a detox symptom. I get the same pain in that area from drinking bottled water.. The supplements that were recommended also caused more liver pain such as high quality spirulina and liquid zinc sulfate. I'm very skinny as well, unlike like most people with fatty liver and insulin resistance. Very strange what happened there and I am still recovering from it. Dr. Goldner's protocol does not include much carbs/sugars and it is working much better for me.

Hi doctor Goldner, can you tell me if you have studies that show the protocol helps with severe plague Psoriasis? My husband is becoming covered head to toe with it. And all anyone wants to do is put him on a pill. he does not want to go on anything that suppresses his immune system..

Mrs. G9888, my husband cured his skin condition with wheatgrass juice. I made it every day 1 or 2 ounces and after 6 weeks he had no more skin problems . The chlorophyll in the greens works. The doctor was amazed and could not believe how wheatgrass helped him. Prednisone is the med that is usually prescribed- it’s a very dangerous drug. Please get a wheatgrass juicer and help him.

I forgot to mention this - when my husband was suffering with his skin condition I prayed to God to help. Well, the book I was reading on health had a paragraph that explained how wheatgrass helps the skin (this happened over 20 years ago when wheatgrass was hard to get. I had to go every 2 weeks in NYC to pick up fresh trays). God answered my prayer asap. So, I just want to say God answers prayers. Praise God.

Are cruciferous veggies the same as leafy greens? Are we supoosed to use both cruciferous veggies and leafy greens in the smoothie?
@shaneashby5890
Жыл бұрын
You only want to use cruciferous vegetables in your smoothie. Cruciferous vegetables are kale, spinach, cauliflower, bok choy, and cabbage. These are the most nutrient-dense vegetables on the planet that’s why you use only them. Leafy greens are still nutritious just not as nutritious as cruciferous vegetables. It’s about hyper-nourishment.

@shaneashby5890 spinach is not cruciferous but a highly nutritious leafy green. There are more types of cruciferous veg too.

Dr Goldner has mentioned she doesn’t focus on the sibo, leaky gut or candida but that patients she has worked with with those have improved or it gone after using the protocol. I use flax oil instead of the seed as I suffer from constipation as well. You can use as much as helps the bowls keep moving. It has helped but she has other videos and resources on working with that issue as elimination is super important in general of course but on protocol too. Best wishes on healing.

@petermaier3725 from what Dr goldner says, flax oil makes you "go" the more the better 😊
@IS-LUV
Жыл бұрын
@@petermaier3725 yes, her protocol does help with constipation as it’s high in fiber and omega 3s and water but it can take a little time to get used to and for the bowels to adjust. Sometimes people have no problem adjusting so know it can happen but don’t expect it. Make sure you meet the minimums of each for best results. Best wishes in your healing journey! You got this! 💪

Will the smoothies still heal/work in HN if I keep out the chia and flaxseeds? Im noticing both of these upset my stomach. Thank you for all you do❤❤❤
@thenellierose

I think the omega-3's from flax and chia are a big part of the healing element of HN. I've heard Dr. Goldner recommend starting with a small amount of flax/chia seeds and tapering up as you're comfortable. She has also mentioned that some people do better with cold pressed flax oil.

Depends on what you put into the smoothie. Pure fruitsmoothies are not the greatest idea, due to the massive sugarshock to the system, with a massive bloodsugar spike. Goldner is advocating mostly veggies, which for the most part have a relativly low glycemic index. And eating some actual salads is a good idea, as long as you get sufficient amounts of nutrition.
