Gotta say your fish rooms are always so nice, those MRC sumps/refugiums are just the apex (no pun) of awesome equipment. That said, Abyzz pumps just to mix saltwater? Definitely VIP type of client :D
@mrsaltwatertank

The mixing station Abyzz functions as a return pump backup. Overkill for JUST the mixing station and makes perfect sense to have a backup on hand
@Mike__B
5 жыл бұрын
@@mrsaltwatertank Yeah I get the whole "it's a backup" idea, but that's kind of my point, I'm not exactly the VIP type of client with that kind of spending, even if I did go with the Abyzz as a return, I'm the type of person who'd go for a cheaper temporary backup pump, Vectra L or something, sure it's not the same specs but if it's a temporary pump while you're cleaning the first or waiting for a replacement then it should be fine. Not in any way criticizing your decisions on this setup, and who knows, if I had the kind of money for a $2600 pump... maybe I would just do that too :D

@@pjfreak99 with tanks I've built pumps only on the back wall create a couple of issues: 1) Turning up the pumps to provide meaningful flow for a SPS tank means the flow will hit the front of the tank and roll down, moving the sanded around. 2) There isn't enough in variety in flow with just pumps in the back. The tank needs flow from the side to get the flow it needs.
